Warwick/Gaunty has now been banned.

Not that far back, thinking about what the pub looked like. Maybe about 2010?

When you read that, it sounds pretty good. But if it’s the same person I’m thinking of, the annoying part was that he’d turn every single conversation round to him, ending with a really long and patronising self indulgent post.

I remember (rightly so) getting shit for going in heavy with our Gnargore escapades on N26. 17 fucking years ago. Fuck sake.

Re: Warwick. I ignored him, didn’t press the button to do that. Just didn’t give my time to read his posts. Glad he’s gone.

While we’re reminiscing about annoying forum members, what about Xtreme Sk8 Rats? And that bloke that posted “spots” that were like, I dunno, huge fucking dams and shit? ExtremeRob?

One thing I’ve always wanted to ask @anonymity - how was Last Post chosen? I got a Heathen deck from that once, literally the same day as I’d shot my board into the road trying something really dorky and watched a Kia Sorento absolutely annihilate it. Was one of the best turnarounds in fortune I’ve ever experienced.

I also remember going on Chatroulette one night and we were all on there just typing N26 at people until we found each other. I found some lad called from Black Country area. killerkel or something?

I have so many memories tied to this place but I’ve only ever met @Dent_Face to my knowledge.

Hahaha yeah extreme Rob, I was thinking about him earlier. Didn’t he get banned for spamming a bunch of threads about some jam that kept getting cancelled at his local shit park? Probably because nobody ever showed up.

The extreme Rob spots thread was amazing, slap level image humour.

@Jurwell for some reason you caught so much shit for that Pringlegate thing. It was like some huge scandal for a while, you took it like a champ.

This place was the first place I came to vent about it. I felt like utter shit and you lot rinsing me in the only way this community can rinse people made me feel so much better! It was easier to tell you than it was my now-wife that’s for sure.

XtremeRob and his mate, DJ Elect-Rick.

Who was that Matt Bully Beef dude? Was that his name? Some complete Stone Island tosser and I think either Les Zeppelin or Bankskater was friends with him on FB for shits + giggles.

The Lydney Massive - WFTW, KnottyDLP and them lot - were a funny bunch.

Yella Clothing, Off Ya Rocker and a few more t-shirt companies were all hilariously bad.

Xtreme Sk8 Rats guy was trying to pitch a really, really shit idea for a kids TV show that was a blatant rip on TMNT with some of the ropiest artwork known to humanity. Eventually fucked off and tried peddling his shit on Slap where he was crucified again.

That was a really unconvincing second account based on some dude on Facebook.

Why are you all getting xtreme Vampire Rats on skateboards wrong?

The vampire bit was the hook.

I told bumwin his dunks looked like abortions on his feet which in hindsight wasnt a nice thing to say. He told me and Powley that he was going to shank us both up with his bora and that we were duncebreeds. He said he was going to come anywhere in the country and merk us then came to one of the northern comps and juat skated. I got @Mark to take a photo of me with him on the playstation miniramp at a crossfire thing and he looked super nervous.

Bumwin is rad.

Just out of interest what makes you think this? Despite covid there’s been a few meet ups etc

They just dont make inane threads like they used to.

I think you are right re: meetups. There is definitely some good shit happening here.

My comment was mainly around having a bunch of active posters focussing their accounts - people who had been here for years - which sucked for me to see.

…And then people feeling like they need to use the ignore button on users. That never existed as a function until this version of the forum appeared, so previously everyone had to try to get along in some way.

But yeah, maybe it’s just a place which has been great for 20 years and this is its first real dip. But even that dip is still not a bad place to be.

woo-woo

Sidewalk magazine not existing makes a big difference too.

I think with 20 years of more life on us we also find it much easier to cut out/ignore people that bring nothing to our lives , especially with excessive conflict. Which will explain all the focused accounts and ignore clicks .
It’s sucks and yeah I’d like people to work shit out on here but I think peoples age and experience is not going to make it the days of old .

I know. I’m don’t think I am being naive - I just feel like before, you had to get along somehow. Whereas now, block/ignore is a feature out there and it sucks that on any platform you can do that rather than each try to be a little respectful of one another.

Idealistic, I know. But I think it’s okay to be nice.

Kelley Dawson?

From Bromsgrove. Really cool asleep at the wheel style. Was on Unabomber (Rollersnakes era) and Supra via Vaughan. Moved to Barca and still lives there as far as I know. Nice lad.

Who was the lad on N26 that boasted about having a threesome in Woolworths or something like that? My memory is hazy…

Cubix… also got hustled by Danny Dyer.
