What next for my daughter to learn

Seem like the perfect quarters to learn slash grinds, coping looks mellow as fuck so might be a decent chance to try Rock Fakies etc. Also if she can drop in try learning tailstalls. The gap between those quarters is so big she’ll have ample time to set up.

Bs slash, rock fakie, tail stall, got yourself a little first run to aim for.

Yeah decent gap between the quarters but there are also a couple on mini ramps the same height in the corner next to the bowl when I look at the layout map

She’ll be fine on the ‘baby’ section, just go when it’s quiet. Last time I went was on a Saturday night and it wasn’t too bad then :+1:

I stopped going once they started closing at 9pm.

Cheers
Plan to go tomorrow for opening time it’s meant to be quiet then

Hi guys after a little advice my daughter when she drops in on mini ramps and especially a pool we skate, she has so much speed.
We have tightened her wheels but she still is absolutely flying, anyone any suggestions to slow her down a touch?

To be honest, if she’s dropping in on ramps and in pools, but isn’t comfortable with the speed yet, my advice would be to stick to flat ground until the comfort with speed and how to control it comes.

She isn’t to bad on a 2ft mini, get to 3ft and she is flying, and the pool we skate she drops in the shallow end about 3ft but flys and would go out of the deep end which is about 6ft
Just wondered if different wheels and bearings might help a bit

Don’t throw money at the problem and get use to the kit you have. This might take some time as skating is a bit tricky. Its all repartition.

Sorry it’s just not obvious on my phone where to post etc etc

Don’t tighten her wheels up you’ll mash the bearings.

You can temper your speed a little by not pushing too hard or, kid of, slowing down your drop in, but not by much and this comes with experience

She’ll go as fast as she goes when she drops in, being able to cope with the speed is all part of it really

Again, tightening down the bearings will just ruin them. Not sure what other advice to give, let her just get on with it?!?

Thanks guys for the advice much appreciated
I may try her old bearings in her wheels

Smaller wheels might help a bit depending what she has now. Bigger wheels can increase the whippy feeling for people learning to drop in.

54mm Bones STF 99a is what she uses with bones big balls bearings

So not massive or anything then. As everyone’s said just part of learning.

Yeah I’m sure she will get use to it

Just search for this topic  top right.

Sorry it’s me being anal

Some ramps are just faster than others. There is not much you can do about it.

Hi guys just after a little help for my daughter.
How do you get off your board and exit a ramp at the coping if you get what I mean?
I cant find any help or advice or videos
