'Alright, OK'

should more new sections have their own thread? Personally, I enjoy the tangential chat + lots of parts worth talking about are overlooked (by me) or sink into obscurity pretty quickly in the “continually updated footage thread”.

Not saying that every new section needs its own thread like on Slap, and don’t want to be flooding the menu page with Berrics sections, but what makes a part topic-worthy? Is it full-lengths and the more hyped/long-awaited stuff?

Generally it goes in the footage thread and someone says “this is thread worthy”. I reckon just do it if you think it deserves it. If it doesn’t, it’ll get moved anyway!

I agree. The tangents that emerge from initially specific thread topics are what made the original forum and make this place, so much fun.
People should feel free to start threads about parts I think. Consensus can then decide if it’s worthy of discussion or not I suppose.

Mods.

I’m all for new threads for worthy videos. It’d be good if whoever posts it wants to sell it a bit in the post.

Yes most parts should have a thread so long as it starts a discussion.

Agreed. @buildafire @anonymity let’s try to remember to split posts out when they show up :+1:

Agreed Mick, the forum will be cluttered with “meh” parts rather than under one roof unless it’s exceptional.

I don’t think ‘most’ - just the ones that carry the weight to justify discussion. We all know intuitively which ones that will mean.
Regular clips should stay in the footage thread I think.

Yeah definitely not a thread for most videos. That’d turn into a horrible mess fast.

Same. If you’ve not been able to check for a few days it’s really good to have them all there. And if something comes to mind from a few weeks ago you can find it again there. Threadworthy stuff should be the things that we’re going to remember anyway.

Do we have a search function for finding parts or keywords in a thread? That should be enough to find something you’re looking for in a deep thread otherwise you’re just doing the same in a bigger folder, makes no difference really, all it does is bump other threads out of sight if you have thread per part.

Or are polarizing like De Cuna

Decunha should be in the YouTube thread, let alone the Footage thread, let alone its own thread.

The magnifying glass is the search, and you can bookmark posts.

When I find a good video I can’t watch at the time I just screenshot it and save that to an album in Photos on my phone.

Has De Tuna had a full part?

same but if you want to go back and find an old one. You know what’s new in the footage thread because it tells you the amount of new posts. I think it works well as it is.

Who’s that other dude that pops up on the berrics insta from the uk, that does all the weird front foot impossible variations and triple flips? Insanely good but perhaps in the De Cuhna youtube camp?

Jamie Griffin!

*edit - he’s Irish

Who the fuck is he?
