Andy Mac Trying To Pull A Rusedski

I remember that bowl being quite scary but it looks tiny on video. Goes to show how massive those parks are in the states. Oregon has loads of crazy ones

I didn’t manage to catch any of this. Did he win?

He came 3rd

Was in the final.
Came 5th I think

Got knocked out of the finals by Akin (Lucien Hendricks’ kid)

That’s Jesse Thomas, Chris Hudson’s kid (Chris was a sponno’d head in the 80’s/90/'s and still kills it - he is James Hudson, the photographer’s brother - they had a vert ramp in their back garden that Shipman skated a lot bitd).

In other second generation ripper info - Paul ‘Jim the Skin’ Atkins son Joe ripped as well, think he came 11th.

Yeah it was a bastard plant variation.
Backside boneless come in frontside to disaster so, ‘Bastard disaster’?
Not going to fly on the BBC sadly.

Ta for the chortles re Lucy and my nonsense - it’s pretty limited space for bantz to be fair but Phoenix Nights, DMT, Patridge and Huysmans made in there for teh lulz.

You left Sean Goff a bit confused.

Fixed that

It was genuinely funny, you and LA make a good combo. Also liked the bit at the end about “get a skateboard and join in, it’s that simple”. I’d bet quite a few people, especially girls will do that after watching

It’s a bit of a shame the best we can do is xc rather than a really high standard public park.

Missed the DMT reference!

“Bill Danforth on Seven Sport” made me laugh as I’d already thought the same. You missed the opportunity to say someone was “lacking some style” though!

Really enjoyed watching it and the commentary!

That’s the thing most past governments (and ones now) haven’t really give a shite about sport, they pretend too… it took them years and years to just to get one 100m (length) swimming pool here, that athletes could train in. They were almost standard in Germany when I lived there BITD. It’ll be years and years again before we see an Olympic standard skate park.

Hasn’t he been confused since about 1910?

His character is what it is. But the man is completely dedicated to skating. He went through a stage recently of dislocating his shoulder almost every time he skated. His approach seemed to be, push it back in and carry on.

Yeah good on him. He’s 56 and he definitely gives me hope for my next ten years!

I’d rather look up to Ron Allen at 60 years old. He comes with a smile and happiness too and can stack its down a double kink handrail shoulders intact

I tried to teach my daughter tic tacs last Sunday (pre-Olympics). She did a few but early days yet. HUGE smile on her face when she did some though. I’m more trying to get her to skate around, push well and turn at the moment. But she wants to ‘jump’ (Ollie). Gotta walk before ya run, kiddo

A bit off topic, but she’s keen.

We can all try and be Ron Allen…but try as hard as we can I bet we’ll all end being more Sean Goff :joy:

When i was a postie i used to deliver in a village close to Derby where there was a plasterer called Andy Mac. He had a bright yellow van as well. Must be connected somehow.

I think that might have been a better connection that what he put on his entry forms for the contest, right?
