I know the lad who did the graphics, he’s rad, has done some newer stuff for flip too. The idea was to salute DB graphics.
I have no idea what or who scuk are though.

SCUK is a facebook group called “Skateboard Collecting UK”.

It’s a unique microcosm of skaters. Lots of calling each other Michael Fabricants and being a bit next generation MAS. They’ve done a few different boards that rip off famous graphics.

Nothing in there too related to the UK though, few times I’ve asked if there are any Blueprint/Heroin/Unabomber etc collectors, it’s been crickets. Mostly middle aged dads buying reissues.

So many absolute helmets.

Is a pretty good four word review.

Ah, rings a bell actually, I think someone explained it to me very similar.

Hello & welcome!

As someone who rarely skates transition, and am only happy on (very) little ramps, I found Area 25 too big. It was very much scooter oriented - your ramp looks loads more fun.

Not much help but there was Empire in Colchester, but that’s closed too now I believe.

Cheers.

I joined on FB but didn’t lurk for long. Each to their own, and all that, but it didn’t appeal to me. The Insta account is a lot ‘quieter’ - a couple* of their tribute boards look quite good though IMO.

Cheers.

Looks like they’ve done a video. The Insta clip with a slo-mo shove it tail grab says enough.

Are we better than them?

That reminds me I’ve never actually watched ‘Thrashin’.

That SCUK thing is so weird. Like someone said, a little microcosm. Seems like a pyramid selling scheme for that guy who runs the page.

I don’t post on it but get there posts on Facebook. Just a bunch of old dudes comparing bearings and learning to drop in on mini ramps. Each to there own I suppose but it’s pretty dull.
Edit: their not there.

New to the forum but noticed this thread and had to post. I’m less than a month off 40 and bought my board earlier this week. Used to snowboard and mountainboard in a big way just over 10 years ago. Now wanting to get back into boarding and skateboarding is more accessible. Still learning the basics.

Hello and welcome.

Welcome @ShadowClaw0

Cheers all.

My search for “london car park” brought me here - great thread! 40 next month, and stoked to be rolling again.

@wheelsofretrospective where abouts in London are you?

Anything SW is reasonably accessible - Putney/Fulham/Wandsworth/Clapham etc.
