Baker Has A Deathwish 2

He looks like a guitarist in the Outlaws. Would love to hear Green grass high tides in a part and he’d be great skating to it. Be an epic part though.
I like his skating, his flips are really good and shouldn’t suit his look but it’s pretty rad.

Dickson outshined everyone in whatever video he switch flipped a fat set of stairs and caught it better than most regular flippers.

I like when people never switch up their gear (so long as it’s not offensive which his isn’t)

Isn’t every video filled with people wearing Supreme in 2024?
Except etnies videos.

Haha, work on it. His skating is solid, lines are solid, he wears what the fuck he wants and rocks the double denim. Next part just needs a six shooter on one hip and a whip on the other.

Dickson has always been amazing, just under the radar. That switch frontside flip he did over the rail in the rain was iconic (Made 2?).

The fact he looks like a Creedence Clearwater Revival roadie is the icing on the cake.

I kinda always thought of him as a big rail guy but when you get into it, he seems to be all about flipping his board. His part in Green is really good. Kinda feel like that part is underrated and thats where I clocked he wasn’t a mirror image of Figgy.

Felt a bit surprising.

Dickson has really good flip tricks for sure.

The level that Reynolds and Elissa are skating at in their mid and late forties is mindblowing.

I’ve got to start eating fruit and taking proper slams again.

Smaller brands take note - this is how you do a video

New gen being given lots of screen time and showing a real diversity in styles and approaches made me feel like the future of skateboarding is in good hands, then sprinkling in the odd clips of Greco, EE etc AND standout full parts from Reynolds and Ellissa, this video kinda has it all - it stays true to Baker’s style but just updates it and shows that “if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it”. Favourite part for me was Ellissa, just because it was so unexpected and genuinely incredible… close second was Casper, last few tricks especially and big ups to him for delivering the goods and standing out in a video full of certified legends

Just felt I should add some positivity so my only contribution to the discussion wasn’t solely a dumb ‘Figgy looks like Tiger King’ comment

Genuinely one of the best videos I’ve seen in a long, long while and, though I’ve never really been a fan of the whole Baker aesthetic, I just bought a hoodie and a board cause brands putting out hour-long videos of this calibre deserve our support

Not sure what I can say about this that hasn’t already been said. Banging video! Don’t think I’ve watched a full length in over 10 years but I even found myself rewinding people’s parts. Gave me the same feel as some of the early Zero videos, not on terms of aesthetic but there was a sense of not knowing what the fuck someone was going to do next but knowing that it was going to be gnarly. Casper’s ender was nuts - always like it when you think they’ve dropped their ender but then they hit you with just one more next level hammer for the road. Enjoyed this whilst drinking non-alcoholic beer with my 8 month old daughter asleep on me - I think that’s how the Boss would have wanted it.

Also - I know he only had 3 tricks but Neen’s front shuv heel deserves a mention!

Did Jake Hayes have absolutely nothing in this?
Watched it twice and couldn’t spot anything…

Not watched it yet… waiting till I can still down for an hour uninterrupted. So sometime this month. What is the deal with Riley Hawk? Not seen him mentioned. Did I miss something? Is he on Baker anymore? Retired?

I know he got married and started his own business but it’s like he has just disappeared in skating terms.

One trick in the credits I think

Tyler Peterson as well, can’t remember much T-Funk.

Probably a whole Julian Davidson part floating around somewhere.

Dickies video must mean more to him :joy:

Riley had 3 or 4 clips in the last montage - they looked quite old though as he still had long hair in them.

The less Tyler Peterson the better tbh.

He has a whole part coming out, apparently.
I know he was working on an Emerica one as well as DW before he got cut.

As for T-Funk, Riley, Peterson, etc. as well as Spanky (and Jake Hayes) - they’ve all had focus on other Baker video projects in recent times, so it makes sense they’d not be at the forefront here.
