Yes. Broken ankle. He was on an Adidas trip just afterwards, in Paris, I remember him saying that he was in LA using the RedBull rehab facility to get back up to strength. He said if it wasn’t for that place, he’d be fucked!
What’s a Piff Stick? Is it like a portable lung bong? Is it better than a Hovis bag and Fanta bottle duck-taped together?
was Morph’s ganja vape pen business, with logo of a stoned pritt stick
Shouldn’t even give him the data of replying, but fuck this guy
The epitome of “sell out”
This guy seems alrate to me. Don’t get all the hate really
It’s been a gradual thing over a few years. As has been said numerous times before, he’s probably really sound in real life, but he doesn’t seem to have any awareness of how the persona he’s created comes across.
He’s also very far down the Nordberg path now of seemingly using skateboarding as a springboard onto other things without having actually contributed much to skateboarding in the first place.
I don’t think he’s doing that at all, he isn’t really bringing anything from skateboarding, beyond the act of riding a skateboard, to these other things. He’s not Blondey McCoy, skateboarder. People who are into the other stuff probably have a passing knowledge of him having something to do with skateboarding, but it’s not like the clothes he does are remotely related to skateboarding, or his posts are trying to milk the coolness of skateboarding. He’s definitely doing his own thing without it being skate-related, and it looks a lot like he skateboards because he really enjoys it. And he’s really good at it.
Thames Skate brand, a skate shoe on adidas, to name two? What’s he doing outside of skating that’s getting him the hits?
School uniforms for adults.
I always though he’d used Palace as a springboard for all that other stuff more than anything and once he didn’t need them any more he went off and did his own thing. Pros of the past in that position would usually go off and just make their own new skate brand, which he has done obviously but then there’s the art and modelling which has been attached to it so it’s no surprise he gets some hate.
I find him funny more than anything and that video is merely the latest example.
I’m not saying he can’t do anything outside of skateboard, the complete opposite, the worst skateboarders are those who literally have no interest other than skateboarding. And to be fair, its not like he owes me or anyone anything.
But theres no way he would be in the position he’s in with fashion etc if he hadn’t had skateboarding street cred (Palace) as a starting point. And again, theres nothing inherently wrong with that. But to me, it’s one of the reasons why he is disliked.
I don’t even know anybody who dislikes him. He’s a great skateboarder and he went off and did something off the back of that, but unrelated to it. I don’t know anybody who thinks anything other than “It’s not to my taste, but good for him”. I think if you want skateboarding credibility, it’d be wise to not leave Palace.
And yeah, in my limited experience he’s a lovely dude. Or ‘geezer’.
Blondey coming across very favourable in the comments in this recent Thrasher series thing.
I started the first one yesterday but didn’t watch it all.
Will give the whole thing a go later, with a beer.

“This man loves his beans”
Just watched both parts, like everyone’s said before, definitely a very good man. I think it gives all the answers everyone needs in this 2 part series. You can look at it both ways, it’s a shame he had to kind of explain his whole self but at the same time it’s only going to do him better. Stoked for the guy.
He’s always seemed sound as fuck, maybe he should have done more stuff like this before.
‘5 in the afternoon’
Had to turn it off, sorry. I’ll try again later.
