The Mrs takes the piss out of me, but I make a bean moat in the middle of the plate surrounded by my toast fortress… topped with grated cheese and cracked pepper.
Sometimes this includes wilted spinach, Worcester sauce, etc.

Was with you until there but now you can leave.
I’m now thinking about your description. A moat rings around something but you seem to be describing a sort of central bean pond?
Yer more of a bean Keep with Toast walls
A Motte and Beany
I love spinach. I’m not apologising for it.
If you reduce the beans enough, toast moistness is manageable. Butter not marge. Absolutely loads of habanero chilli sauce all over the gaff.
I love custard but I don’t put it on my roast dinner.
WTF that’s a whole different ball game!
You’re putting wet greens on beans on toast. It just doesn’t go.
I don’t put them on wet, strain them a bit first and then it’s all good. Or alternatively cook the leaves with the beans.
Anyone not sorting out their bean tomato sauce ratio for their Beans on Toast before adding them is an amateur.
Spinach and baked beans .
I always do this. Also, fuck y’all for the spinach hate.
I’ll be the one laughing when I grow up to be big and strong!
When I was student years back I used to be regular at this one takeaway and they used to give me kebab meat for however much spare change I had.
When I was feeling flush I used to get a pie and then 50ps worth of kebab meat which I’d make into a moat around the pie. I’d then make a crown of garlic sauce and red sauce which would cover everything.
I love a good food moat.
Thanks Blodney for the bean chat at least
Thanks for the Pulp Cosplay.
Also this is a vital point often missed. I went to a nice brunch restaurant last week (Caravan near London Bridge) and ordered the veggie fry up.
What I received was mushrooms, tomatoes and eggs on a (single) piece of toast. Nice, but that’s not a fry up, that’s fancy eggs on toast.
