Lwb transporter is a good in between option. With a pop top for the extra height and another bed if you ever need it.

This came up on my insta feed today , conveniently…… tin hat and all that.

Will have a go for £7 , one less pint for me tonight.

I got a Thule Ocean 80 off Ebay, new, cheaper than most retailers. Fine for a car, if you’ve got an SUV than buy a ladder as well.

And just back from France with it, great amount of storage, 1 medium case and 2 large sports bags, not great squeezing under the height gates, scraped it twice

That is absolutely stunning mate. It looks concours quality.

How did it get ULEZ exemption?

Yeah, they won’t want poor folks driving round in just old bangers in ULEZs.

The irony that the pollution heavy cars are exempt haha.

I have a feeling classic car exemption will soon be fully charged for emissions once the tories are out

Just out of curiosity looking at old enough cars to see what’s out there sorted by price low to high (not that I live near a ULEZ)

Found this beauty:

I had one of these about fifteen years ago. Mine was the SSS Coupe version though.

I have a 57plate 2 litre turbo that’s ULEZ exempt. I don’t know how.

Yeah I think it’s inevitable in the next 10+ years that there’s gonna be an emissions charge countrywide for old vehicles especially how much man made pollutants are already in our atmosphere.
Will probably be quite expensive to take the old classics out for a run .

I really want the burble of a Subaru flat 4 or a chunky V8. The electric cars don’t have that visceral sound. Suppose I just got to get used to it.

Or get one of those apps that plays the sound of a different engine through your speakers, ha

Ended up changing my family car last week. Went from a 2015 530d to a 2016 Touareg Escape which allowed my to increase the payload of my caravan to 1800kgs. It’s far more practical now we have a dog too.

All very boring really but it was low cost to change. I can’t justify spending much on cars now I don’t commute anymore.

Thought this would the most appropriate thread.

I’m saving up for a Vespa moped. Saw one on Autotrader and they’re so nice. It stokes me out way more than the low cost cars I would be able to afford.

That’s rad. After a few trips to Italy I have been day dreaming of owning one. However the climate isn’t as Vespa friendly over here!

My brother has a few old Italian scoots, they are beautiful machines.
I have an itch for a maxiscooter, I want to do a ton on a step through.

How much is a Vespa?

My brother has a big boy bike and it’s absolutely fucking petrifying.

I loved the one I had, a mini muscle car complete with wobbly suspension and just enough power to spin up its skinny little tyres.

Exactly like this:

Unfortunately wasn’t very waterproof, so not really the best daily driver.

The old ones will be expensive but the 2001 model I’m looking at is £995 so not too bad. The miles per gallon is very good and the insurance is cheap too. I couldn’t do a big bike, looks way too scary.

That would be just about the cheapest Vespa I think.

I don’t know much about scooters but common sense tells me that you don’t mean a Puch Maxi.
