I had to pick up a table the other day, with the daily’s alarm going off randomly I had to use this

What is this? A table for ants?

No it was an extendable round table. Put the back seats down and the table came apart and fit right in. The base was sat on the passenger seat

You’d have to be a diehard Merc fan to spend £32k on a restored 230 with a cloth interior. That’s V12 6.0 Aston DB9 money.

Yeah I guess I can see it. I’m sure it’s hard to find, but it is restored not original so you could make one yourself.

Yeah that sounds about right. I think the guy in Swansea who does these charges £25k.

Last owner kept it 39 years. Says it all really. They won’t be making anything like that ever again.

This is the Swansea guy who restored that W123 up there. I’ve seen some of his cars they’re absolutely amazing restorations.

He regularly has them up for sale too. Recent one:

There were two old school Merc heads round here who started warring with each other. They both have curly hair and both have the nickname ‘BigPerm’. The OG is Jamie from Cardiff who was an MB technician who had some mad old school Mercs with hydraulics way back in the late 90s. When he heard about the new guy from Swansea with the same name he changed his insta/forum handle to ‘biggerperm’…always made me laugh.

Anyway rivalry was real, until OG Big Perm took himself off to Australia where he lives now and modifies old Mercs himself with no chance of them rusting. He seems to be in heaven.

The other guy runs an interesting old school car sales place. Gets some nice cars in occasionally, lots of Mercs and he has all the work done by a good mechanic.

That blue Porsche with the red rims is so nice.

The Maserati is drool worthy

Anyone got a spare car they don’t want right now? :joy:

Just dropped the golf at the garage. Pretty sure I need to put a bullet in it.

I like them where they are I wouldn’t bother putting them back on the car!

Have you gone for a lighter grey or is it just the photo. Might be the best alloy of all time that. Either that or BBS RS.

I’ve heard my fair share of split rim woes from people in the past. It’s one of those things that separates me from car scene people. There’s no way I’m driving round on shit wheels all year only to put my fancy wheels on to go to a show!

Good luck selling it, it’s gotta be one of the best looking SLs around so hopefully you’ll get top money.

Some fan is fucked on the Golf. Loads of other shit as well, garage I use is sound. Will collect parts for them. One bit I’m really worried about - have to take the front end off again.

Having sold convertibles for 8 years I would highly recommend waiting until after Xmas.

Before Xmas people have less disposable and the hangover can last a month or two afterwards. First sunny/warm day of Feb/march is perfect.

No harm in telling MB forums you plan to sell next year, helps plant the seed…
