Isn’t best time to sell after tax year? April?
If you’re an average joe public seller looking to get rid of a car I see no reason why that would be beneficial unless you have already blown through your taxable allowance
I mean you might attract more buyers from business owners once their tax year starts again.
I might be wrong but business owners are usually only interested in new cars, or buying from another business. In 8 years of selling 2nd hand cars, even nearly new, I can’t remember anyone buying via their business
I’m not talking about buying through the business. If I’m self employed and had a good year and have just settled my tax bill and want to buy a used sports car it might be a good time.
I might be wrong, was just a thought.
Limped into work today, really shouldn’t be driving.
What is that reserve
It said the reserve hasn’t been met before, then it went above 5 and it was so that must be it. Far from a perfect example as you say but I like it all the same.
Plus previously written off, no history and mot seems to be for a different reg number.
Dropped a cool £1k on the Golf, it better feel like a new car after that.
@ihatethegeneralpublic the list of shit that’s fucked is like half a side of A4.
‘Fuel type: Other’
Fear not, I didn’t put a bid in. Seems like someone is going to have to give the Merc a lot more than TLC though, or are you talking about the Flintmobile?
I was talking about my car hahaha
Don’t worry my bus needed £2k of injectors the other year
Yer I mean it’s a hit. But will sail through an MOT.
Decided I will save for a new for reliable car drive this til it’s not a daily. Strip it out and have it as a super light GTI to batter on a Sunday. It’s probably running like 255bhp, so all the back seats out sell them, passenger seat out sell that, just completely strip it for weight and have it for me at the weekend.
Love the two extra seats in the boot on those.
He’s got a nice little smart roadster, nearest thing to a Mercedes that I’ve ever owned one of those. Always went BMW when I was fancying an old luxury car with hundreds of hideously expensive failure modes.
Sure is , the only major flaw with that generation of car is they made the wiring loom casing from a plastic that perishes after 25 years and can cause big problems on top of it being an absolute fortune to get sorted . I was looking into them as a replacement for the w124 but would get another w124 because of that . Way beyond my pay grade to fix
Ah really, good to know , I read on the merc forums it was cars from 95 onwards. Too many experts as always ha!
