Cars

My neighbour has a GTR and since covid it’s done fewer miles than my Integra. Not moved for years, just sat in his garage. And weirdly in 7 years I’ve been here I’ve never spoken to him about it :man_shrugging:

I’d have that over the current Defender for sure.

The new defender is the top vehicle of choice for the worst slimy Michael Fabricants

I have to agree on that, I just can’t believe how big the thing is for what is becoming almost a standard family car! It’s not bad looking though.

I live down some pretty tight country lanes on their way to a secluded beach, the big car problem is insane.

Massive 4x4s on the roads everywhere just remind me of everything that’s wrong with the world. Fucking awful trend that won’t go away.

Fabricant alert

Probably the most hated combination on the road. I’d have an estate but they’re a bit thin on the ground as I need a high min kerbweight. Absolute legal minimum is 1800kgs.

Whatever - it’s comfy, quick enough and plain/boring compared to the RR’s, X5, G(?) class etc etc.

Anyone wanna crowd fund some new brakes for my golf. I sound like a fucking train and need to get to Devon 3 days before pay day haha.

Anyone a UK7?

Just change them yourself Ned. Must be a million videos on YouTube for that

Is it that easy? I’d always thought brakes would be the last thing you’d want to “have a go at” yourself

Ennit fuck that!

If you understand how they work they’re pretty simple and quite hard to fuck up. The pads aren’t going to just fall out. Most difficult bit would be to push the piston things back into the caliper. Did it when I was 18 on my nissan Micra with no clue, no help, no YouTube and 100% absolutely no correct tools! Totally winged it and guessed what to do. To push the pistons in I think I just pulled the vice off the workbench in garage and used that

Iv done them with a mate before, the fronts.

I have nowhere to take it to do it basically, and no tools.

It’s booked in on Wednesday, just spent far too much money this month.

Kissed a bollard
Made a tea and attacked the dent with some wood and an old hammer.
Pretty stoked that it came out tbh

You could say you focused it.

This mental land rover is sat outside my work at the moment. It looks like a bad AI creation.

I know old defenders don’t have the best panel gaps etc, but looks like a DIY job possibly judging by the roof line
