my car got written off a week and a half ago (not my fault and the accident helpfully happened in front of police inspector and a super which has made insurance a lot easier!)
Spending my weekend doing test drives isn’t my idea of a great weekend

Yayyyyyy thanks to the Brian that did this.
Not parked in my usual space in the communal car park. So presume it was someone from the other building.
Remember when you were driving me and Brewer back from Burton in your Clio so fast it set on fire?
Exactly that haha

I love almost any off road Porsche.
That’s astonishingly good.
Had a small prang in the car park at work yesterday. Been looking to upgrade to a nicer car, but this is my second minor scrape this year and I’ve just had to have a word with myself and admit I don’t deserve one, and reserve myself to a life of boring, white goods cars while admiring everyone else’s lovely interesting stuff.
That reads a bit depressing but it has its own positives I guess! Hopefully will stumble into something quirky with a bit of soul which I also don’t particularly care about preserving.
I’m the same.
I’m on exceptionally good money, have the ability to do leasing through work, but still drive a 12 year old Subaru. All because the kids, dog and wife have no respect for that, so a new car would be mind meltingly frustrating.
Haven’t had a chance to move it to take a picture as I couldn’t insure it today but got a new whip. Little 1.6 208, 63k miles, fully warranty for a few months.
Hopefully buying my Grandads Merc next year at some point but still to early to get rid of it.
Rust to Riches on Netflix is so bad I can’t stop watching it. Basically a body shop that specialises in taking beautiful cars and sets about making them look absolutely fucking shit with terrible “upgrades” that look like they’re designed by an eight year old. They’re currently trying to get into “high end clients” and are confused about why nobody seems to want their £300k Ferraris turning into bad Hot Wheels cars. Cracking telly.
Anyone know a way of finding out shared parts between cars? I need some LHD headlights for my van but can only find RHD so hoping maybe it’s a shared part between companies and will be listed somewhere under a different model.
What make/model is it?
I think somewhere like Eurocarparts can lookup via chassis/VIN number. Manufacturer parts catalogues will usually have both as well. I’m sure these are available online (in my day it was only via CD Rom off eBay). You checked any american sites and owners’ forums?
Mazda MX5 (mk1) shared same door handle as Aston Martin DB7. And I had a Nissan Skyline which took the same air filter as a Micra.
I hope that helps.
Suzuki carry 2005. No luck yet with American sites but I’ve not gone too deep yet
There was a model change that year so you’re going to need to be more specific, do headlights look like this
1999-2005 version
Or this (2005-on)
Yep, been using the Honda one for years. Then I can go to or email the dealer and they order them in….overnight from Japan (or usually Belgium).
Search Suzuki EPC brings this up, not sure if any good as I don’t have a VIN
Now we just need VIN number!
