Will keep you all posted and will report back.
If it’s the lower ball joint , it’s probably an hours work depending on the suspension and brake set up - I’ve done loads on the cars I’ve owned . The ball joint itself is usually around £20-60 , not a hugely expensive part.
Once replaced that was the end of the creaking for me .
Fairly new then , did it happen last winter in the cold ? May just be time to replace the belt in the next service if you have 50/60k miles on the clock already
Back in the day we used to wd40 the inside of the alternator belt to stop it squealing!
All these symptoms are that your alternator is not getting enough juice like @Chopper said (electric locks as well, they don’t have enough beans to turn the locks, especially as it’s getting colder).
Send it in, who knows eh? I want 50% royalties if you get anywhere though
Very good.
They would sell so many of these.
Big ashtray, super comfy seats, dartboard in the boot. Bosh.
Ball joint it was! Replaced and MOT passed
‘Jaguar, we could be so good to you!’
‘Free CD of Dennis Waterman’s greatest theme tunes with every motor!’
The Jaguar rebrand doesn’t really affect me cos I’m not the previous or new target market, for financial reasons, but I used to work with the guy who came up with it and the way they’re piling in on him personally is a bit much.
It has gone too far now. It didn’t look great in my opinion but it shouldn’t be as big a story as it is.
Nice and easy then . Hopefully not too much out of pocket ?
I’m not saying the logo change is to blame but it’s quite a coincidence.
£180 MOT + Service + Parts & Labour.
Drove it home and it feels like when your tighten your trucks on a skateboard. Feels like driving on rails. Was bare wobbly before!
Bargain mate! Nice when your mot works out much cheaper than you though .
Ar day sting too bad. Local garage i’ve used for years. He sorts me out
