The e-type they make is so cool
Always thought that the proportions were a little bit off with those, too much glass or something.
Yeah I can see what you mean actually but I’m still into them!
Cool… a Scimitar.
GTE with the Ford V6?
For me these aged very very quickly, look so dated.
Ok ok I hate them
Me too; it’s something I could never hope to afford but it’s exactly what I’d want in a car.
Besides that absolutely gopping grille. Like a set of beaver’s teeth. I’d be straight down to an aftermarket body shop for a remodelled front end.
I like the grill on the new M4
Yeah! First time I saw it I hated it but I’ve warmed to it. Looks great on the convertible. Just a shame they lost the hard top.
CLK GTR?
If I were getting barge I’d get a CLS.
That CL is nice tho. Always liked the rear windshield.
If you can, go a little earlier than that. Late 90s/early 2000s Mercs is when they stopped over-engineering their cars to the nth degree and the quality, especially in the interiors, noticeably dropped. Anything S class or based on the S class (like the CL) will likely be more than fine, but just be wary of Cs, Es, CLKs etc from that age.
Yeah, you seem like you know your onions car-wise, probably more so than me, just didn’t want to see you get burned.
All those that you posted are properly sick.
Look what Mark Ricconi (Top Gear photographer) has just bought.
Would love a big barge. The Octavia is constantly going wrong so it might be time for a change.
I got the 230te version and the hammer is what I wish it was .
I’ve always fancied an E38 7 Series, although that might not do much for my current situation of having a car that’s constantly going wrong.
The last of the Mercs that are easy to work on. I’ve been able to keep it from the scrappy for the last 5 years and it’s still going strong on only 130k. Will be gutted when I have to let it go.
It’s been great for transporting my mobile skatepark over both lockdowns . So much room on the roof and in the back .
Mint ones on eBay at £7-11k . Fucking bonkers
That’s what’s so gutting about living next to London with mine . ULEZ
Get one. A great project car , plenty of spares and breaking cars to get parts from.
It’s a 7 seater but you’d never know it, and with the back seats out it’s a 2m space from the back of the driver seat to the boot door. Great for sleeping in if the tent is flooded
