Googled it, love it. Will show it to the wife and text you.

But then that Hyundai is nice too.

Fuck’s sake. Nightmare.

Trip to Broadstairs for the Golf!
I’ve got a Skoda. Same engine as VW but cheaper build.

Too white or I’d probably want to haggle. That’s nice.

Also can’t be driving around Glasgow in GLA.

Looking cool at traffic lights is still a consideration.

lol. I would haggle a bit.

I’ll just part x it for next car so all good.

Let us know what you find.

I like the Kodiaq (not sure of spelling).

Should be called the Skodiaq.

Mine is a Rapid Spaceback. It’s really boring, but it does really good mpg.

I did also have an early 90s Toyota Hiace camper van but I had to sell it because of the emissions zone in London.

The day after I sold it I found that I could have had it exempted.

I’ve got a hybrid RAV4. Most boring car ever, great for family etc but as snurp said the latest gen looks really, really so much better.

If you’d not specified German or Japanese I would have suggested a Land Rover Discovery. Other than that I’ve not been able to fault my Audi A4 Allroad Sport. I got that when I got the dog as my wife was going to have to drive the dog about too. She drives our TT most of the time and hates the Landy. The Allroad is a happy medium.

The main thing that puts me off a Land Rover is the possibility, the tiny chance, that I might call it

in front of people at some point by mistake.

Had a Google there though, used ones certainly do seem reasonable. And you wouldn’t worry about reversing it into a bollard or whatever. Growing interested.

5/10 from Top Gear. As a clueless idiot, Top Gear is, for me, the definitive word on motoring matters.

‘Landy’. Yeah, I don’t know if I picked that up from farmers or fishermen. More than likely it was from middle class Land Rover owners. Will try and refrain from doing so in the future

Just had a look at the Top Gear review. It seems they suggest getting an A4 Avant or an A6 Allroad, both of which were in the running before getting the current one. It’s looking more like an RS6 next time. Which is something both my wife and I can agree upon.
