Do it, jap reliability minus the extortionate price for parts like you would have for merc/bmw.
Plus the tech will be better

In all my field research I have observed one common instrument used by all parties to a conflict, whether rebels and governments. This is the Toyota Land Cruiser. This vehicle is manufactured for civilian purposes in Japan, but now it has become the favored weapon of war in Africa and plays an important role in enabling insurgents and governments to conduct war in their preferred manner, and also to expand their theaters of operations.
All the review you need
Just gets better.
Perfect for Glasgow
Slightly annoying that it’s got ‘VX’ in the reg, but ‘UHF’ is cool, obviously.
Just having a read back through this thread and can wholeheartedly agree with this statement. Can’t imagine I will ever buy a non-Japanese car again.
I bought an auto Accord Estate (executive edition - heated seats ftw) with 120k on the clock for £1k four years ago and it just sailed through its MOT once again with just a couple of bulbs. Never broken down and big enough for two kids worth of kit.
I think they look sick as well…
Cant go wrong with Japanese cars, but
I just love rear wheel drive estates, so i’ll always have a BMW love affair.
I missed a bargain manual E46 330d touring a couple of weeks back and it’s still playing on my mind
Insurance is next to fuck all, considering. Gonna go for one of these.
This one is from a well-reviewed dealer and they deliver. Reckon I should go for this one, or use it as an example and shop around? They do part exchange so the geezer could go straight back down the M6 in the Mazda.
Would love a Type S Accord Estate. Very cool.
This one!
It’s got a tow bar, ask what that land cruiser has been pulling. God knows what he’s been dragging round with it, engine could be knackered if he’s got a massive fuckoff caravan
‘advise complete chassis underside corroded’ is ringing alarm bells
Sounds like it’s about to rust to bits underneath
3 owners , depends which one drove it with out looking after it when something started going wrong or bounced constantly up kerbs
I’d need to look at it…there’s corroded and there’s corroded. Might be fine for another 10 years…might not be.
corroded fuel/brake pipes are not the kind of thing you can get away with
Especially this. Won’t be cheap depending where they are.
Also will need new nearside tyre…and you’re always supposed to replace both tyres on the same axle at same time. So that’s 2 new tyres…and I’d want to know why tyre is wearing unevenly as well, might just need realigning. It’s still money you got to set aside for repairs though.
