This may be of some use-

I think I’ve mentioned this on here before but I had to spend a packet to sort out and keep my Mistsubishi Delica on the road. A virtually complete engine rebuild for starts. A mate went through a ridiculous amount of Shoguns in a short space of time too. These things could have been avoided by both of us biding our time a little, not buying with our hearts rather than heads and most importantly if we had had an AA pre purchase inspection done I’d hazard a guess that we’d not have bought any of those vehicles.

Land cruisers are so dope.

Did it fall to bits with rust too? Got a mate with one and she’s constantly having work done on the chassis

Wow. Shit. OK. Thank you. That changes things back again. Still want one of these, but I guess that could be why this one was so ‘cheap’.

I had a browse on eBay for 1 owner cruisers and there were 4 under the £18k mark but started at £9k .

Looks like you’re gonna have to spend around that to get a decent one that’s been looked after

It started to get there. Head gasket went. Radiator needed replacing. Shocks replaced. £1100 worth of tyres in the first three months. Wheel bearing problems. Diff shot to bits. All in all nearly £20k keeping it on the road for the 4 1/2 years I had it. I loved it though but my garage told me to get shot and that they’d rather not see me chuck any more cash at it when they discovered that £2500 of corrosion related work need sorting. Sold for scrap to a bunch of sketchy country types who couldn’t believe their luck. That thing was like Trigger’s broom - hardly any of the car I bought was still there. No way they scrapped it. Maybe fixed the problems or broke it and sold the bits for pots off cash. All that said, I wish I still had one.

That sounds very familiar to my mates spends . Proper money pit but she won’t let it go as she’s put so much time and cash into it.
You win some you lose some.

You’d pay mega bucks to get a good one now. Then the cycle could start all over again

At risk of sounding a bit boring, if you want an SUV why don’t you just get a Nissan Qashqai?

I think they’re pretty comfy and economical, good for the school run etc… It’s one of the most popular cars of the last few years, there’s millions where I live. And you won’t struggle for parts. Black with tints looks alright.

I think nissan have a bad rep for reliability but you can get a relatively new one with low milage pretty cheap. Maybe even still under warranty.

Plus you’ll look like an absolute milf in it.

I had one. Quite liked it.

Because a guy I know has one and he’s a prick. Also it’s a silly word. Basically the opposite of ‘Shogun’.

Buy his one off him and then he won’t have one any more

But it will have his stink all over it.

Link? Boot looks funny, but still curious.

It’s the same as mine but a cool colour.

Mercedes GLA 220d 4Matic AMG line.

Got a 68 plate. Its ok. There are a few quirks but on the whole its good

I also look like a total MILF in it

Mitsubishi shogun then!?!?

Yeah, that’s what I’m saying.

Still feeling drawn to this though…

Barely run in at that mileage! Wonder how much it cost new. I had cream leather in my last mondeo with heated and cooled seats. Just don’t let a biro burst over the seats and you’ll be fine.
