Haha yeah it’s just standard Sean. Spent the whole day moaning about the bowl (while everyone else killed it) then moaned on Facebook about not getting anything in the jam, which was just stickers and shoelaces. It was just Funny

I love Sean’s enthusiasm for the game

Ok. Can we just wind it back a touch on kicking off with one another, please?
We don’t all have to be fans of one another, but also this is public space so lets just try to keep this friendly and the thread on topic.

Thx.

How do you get your comment to be brown?

Be an admin and select “show admin colour”.

Tbh, I didn’t know it existed but I figured it might add weight and help keep the peace.

Haha, I only heard about that in the magazines afterward. I was there on the daysat down with my mate Craig when Mike V storms over and sits down next to us with his head in his hands mumbling to himself. I offered him a Galaxy Minstrel. He declined.

Ended up catching up with a guy who used to lurk in the early 2000s at the Boneyard a few weeks back who basically covered all the classics. I remember the Bumwin beef and was really surprised to find out that I’d been skating with him on a few occasions in Bangor whilst he was at uni there without knowing it was him! Dude ripped.

We need to track Cubix down and have him do an updated section. He was actually pretty good if I recall!

I miss being excited by the internet. FB killed things slowly and it’s only now I’m kinda realising how bad these large sites are. Insta is certainly the best of a bad bunch, but nothing will beat the fun I used to have reading and chatting shit on the old N26 forum. I think I might have been one of the longest users too - pretty sure I joined in 2001? Bit late getting back into the forum now, but hope to not let it slide as long as I have done.

Particularly miss the Norwich crew, Aslan appearances, Rogie being Rogie. The whole thing was a fully functioning media node too. I didn’t have a mobile phone until about 2006, so the amount of travel arrangements and get-togethers organised on there was insane.

Up the forum!

It’s killed off forums and FB groups just aren’t the same. It’s just people repeatedly asking the same questions.

I’ve been using it since it pretty much started I think.

I went to a Big Hongry gig (Oakland rapper who has a shop with Stranger called Break Free) the other week and got chatting to an OG forum head who used to post as ‘Rob’.
Knew el bee pee and various other heads.
Crazy how deep that old forum went.

He was sound too

That’s sick! Amazing how those webs of chat translate into the real world. I doubt I’d have never have met Joxa, Zoro, Pob Whip, Poulet, Nav, Lawencium, Fluff, Rogie or a host of other awesome folk without it, nor travelled as far without the incentive to do some falling over and talk crap with other goons.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say the old forum was to an extent that virtual equivalent of ‘giving the nod’ to someone wearing skate shoes in the 90s. There seemed to be no pretence (at least on my part, mostly because I’m a naive idiot) that everyone on here was present because they loved skating. The joyful bollocks that followed naturally flowed from that.
