Learn them at the end of a ledge first, that’s much easier.
You want to have your weight on top of the ledge but still on your heels. Scoop the 180. And like for any 180 out of a grind, slide or manual, rotate your shoulders first and then your hips will follow.
For the mid-ledge version you have to do your 180 more vertically, more rocket style, so your front wheels don’t hit the ledge on the way out. This, and try to jump as far away from the ledge as you can, aim for 3 kilometers and you’ll still land pretty close to the goddamn ledge.

Awesome, thanks @franc . Yep, trying off the end at the moment but they consistently flopped off and the board flipped upside down. I reckon I’m too heavy on the balls of my feet after reading your advice. Maybe I’ll get one tomorrow, that would be nice. Thanks again

Try to put pressure on your back foot like you would for a pressure flip so your board hits the obstacle at an angle and then naturally flips the other way. Does that make sense?
