No one ever does…

I was gonna sack off running today 'cos it’s mizzley out and I had a headache. Then I thought “what would @Nozzleboy do”. He’d probably have run 20 miles up a mountain before breakfast then wrestled an angry goat so I figured I should probably stop whinging and get on with it.

So after liberal application of Tiger Balm and hydration tab I went out and ran 2 and a bit miles (prob half a mile further than last time I was out) on slippery pavements.

It was great. Saw a squirrel.

Nice one!

It’s pissing down here so I popped my 20 year old GAP anorak over my PE kit and made it to 3.8 miles today.

Feel all smug and self satisfied now.

It was actually really warm despite the rain, I was grand in just a t shirt. I run pretty warm though.

not going to lie heard the rain and thought it best to stay in bed.
to be on the safe side.

I fearlessy went out in the light drizzle and slight breeze for my usual 5K along the front at lunchtime.

Nozzleboy didn’t go up any mountains, just looked at them whilst in Ambleside with burning quads… And what I do with goats is between me and them… 3.5k for me VERY easy in my local park before tea.

ran yesterday and this morning.
same run at the same time, yesterday sluggish, lazy and nearly quit a couple of times, today totally fine and got like 3 PR’s on strava.
this shit makes no sense.
(actually yesterday i listened a podcast and today was music and knights in white satin came on towards the end and i totally channelled Heath. it was probably that.)

The right tunes can always help!

Definitely.

When I was out Wednesday myPod shuffled up Ash’s Evel Knievel - which stoked me out and made me speed up.

(I’ll gloss over the fact that it’s less than 2 minutes long and I was going down a mild incline with a slight tail wind)

We have our first member! And hyped to see they are from my families home town… Great memories of being in Fleetwood as a child.

I probably know them, everyone knows everyone one way or another in this place.

Me and my parents moved out of Thornton in 84 but my Grandparents lived in Fleetwood on Abercrombe Rd until about 2003… Not sure which of my dads cousins etc are still about there… I always thought you lived in Carlisle for some reason. Obviously not.

Joined. Might encourage me to get out a bit more.

Joined… and it’s already paying off. According to the leaderboard my longest distance is 5.1 miles, not the 4 that I thought.

Cheers.
