You’d think so with the amount of mixing and socialising that will happen over Christmas/New Years. He needs to get the country over the line into January, then he can clamp down. People will be on their Christmas holidays still (especially kids). He was never going to cancel Christmas twice, Downing Street party revelations or not, for the economy first and all the flack off people that couldn’t see loved ones. Why he is pushing boosters so hard now for that little extra breathing space.

Parents are inviting some mystery guest to Christmas Dinner, who happens to be unvaccinated. Everybody else is vaccinated, yet I think this is a really foolish gesture, straight out of the Catholic Martyr playbook where they have to be seen to help out everybody, especially if it kills them. AFAIK, the mystery guest is the aging next door neighbour who won’t have the vaccination on health grounds, yet still feels it’s ok to be out and about mixing with people. Moron(s).

Ive got this but its the brother in law. And he’s had COVID so even if I wanted him to test it would be pointless because he’s got the antibodies.
We went for lunch round the inlaws yesterday and my mrs told me he was going when we we two minutes out. Fucking fuming

They’ve tapped into people’s fears about fertility which will always work well. It’s so annoying that people pick and choose which science/technology they trust
Edit - by which I mean people will happily take whatever legal/illegal drugs, whatever medicine they require etc but then baulk at the idea of a vaccine

Anyone had any luck booking a booster on the NHS site this morning? Just says I’m waiting in a queue then a page saying there’s a technical error
I got the error page in the end as well.
Try through your GP if you can, I just managed to book mine this morning. Earliest I could get was the 23rd, probably gonna be a lazy Xmas Eve in the snurp household.

I was able to book one yesterday without much fuss, 5 mins in a queue just.
I just can’t understand people kicking off about vaccine passports, the option of showing a negative test is there too. If you don’t want to get a vaccine the very least you can do is show you don’t have Covid before voluntarily going in somewhere with a load of strangers.
