Yeah I think they’re good too, but they might close in January.
Edit in all seriousness; My daughter caught covid at her school. 10 days in isolation, nightmare, I know of teacher friends that were at their wits end having to deal with outbreaks and people sending kids to school, even though their sibling had tested positive, ect. I’m sure anon has talked about it a lot too.
It was just an annoying use of words from the government; wording it as if there was some kind of concern around the buildings that had been spotted and fixed. I gather that there are things that could be done with air purifiers which you’d think would be less expensive than any associated damage to the economy but no, schools are safe.
Ah right, fair enough. Yeah everything is going great till it’s not with them.
GPs to ‘focus on urgent appointments and jabs only’ until January, says Javid | GPonline
It’s such rubbish that they are encouraging GPs to defer non-essential appointments so that people aren’t seen for longer. Primary care is already in a complete mess. Why do they need to do this? Surely they can just train up anyone to deliver vaccines if it’s so urgent?
You 100% can’t ‘just train up anyone’ to give a jab. And even if you could you couldn’t do it within a few weeks.
I can Imagine vaccine sceptical people like yourself would be up in arms in Steve from down the street was trained up in a couple of days and was going to give you a jab.
Also it’s deferring primary care for December - Jan, not forever.
If this variant turns out to be as quick spreading as it looks then primary care would shut down anyway from the volume of cases.
It’s an IM injection. You 100% could with medic volunteers or army medics if it’s a matter of national urgency as the government claims. Just need to make sure that you aspirate. Meanwhile people are missing appointments, getting delayed diagnosis et cetera et cetera
They have deployed army medics etc. Also you seem to miss the point that if a huge wave, regardless of severity, hits then all these appointments would be delayed anyway.
You seem to have major reservations with vaccines, medical responses or anything to do covid so I really shouldn’t have engaged as I don’t get the feeling you want to have your opinion changed but that’s fine.
Booster booked for Monday morning.
Flu jab and third jab booked for Friday, stoked!
Had my Moderna booster yesterday and had quite a bad reaction to it. Full flu symptoms over night. Maybe because it’s the first time I’ve had a mRNA vaccine? Had AZ as my first 2 jabs.
My wife and I both had moderna for our first 2 and had no problems other then usual sore arms. We were ready for flu like symptoms and be laid out on the sofa.
Had Pfizer booster and flu jabs yesterday, tiny bit sore but only right on the injection sites and other than that nothing really.
I had Pfizer jabs and Moderna booster. Aching arm and mild body aches…which was more than I got the from initial vaccine.
The nurse said it’s common to have more side effects if you mix the vaccines but that there’s some evidence it gives more protection. She may have been talking shit she seemed a bit loose and was impressed that I was going straight out to get on it in town.
tf is this
That’s a link to the night time industries association. It’s a template which you can email your mp if you have concerns about the plan b restrictions on which parliament is voting later today. It may mean the introduction of covid passes for large events.
Only concern I have is that they might not bring in passes for large events.
I don’t want to open up a big can of worms here but don’t you agree that it’s fair for someone who hasn’t had a vaccine to show proof of not having covid with a test before going in somewhere with lots of other people?
I’d say that’s entirely bloody fair.
