Exactly. And acting like it’s silver noble political/ethical stand about “freedoms” is just absolutely pathetic.
Not doing something that’s completely optional because “we shouldn’t be forced” then claiming to be persecuted or censored for it afterwards. No, nobody is forcing you to do anything, we just think you’re selfish for not, and a total prick for making a song and dance about it. That’s different.
I wouldn’t mind so much if these people would just quietly do their thing, but they’re all so fucking righteous and evangelical about it. I find it totally insufferable. Grow the fuck up.

It’s not an experimental vaccine. Every year we build a new cocktail against a variety of flu strains and millions of people take it. Is that experimental? It saves an awful lot of lives. Pregnant women have it. Old ass people have it. Sick people have it. Healthy people have it. Flu is considerably less contagious or dangerous than covid. Healthcare workers are expected to take the flu vaccine. It doesn’t have side effects
The only reason people are up in arms about the covid vaccine but don’t care about the flu vaccine, or MMR, polio etc etc is because of some utterly bullshit FB conspiracy shit that preys on people’s fears. I said it before and you said I was being unfair. I’m not being unfair - scared dumbasses are spreading bullshit and making the world worse. Where do you feel you fit into this narrative

@nazoreth not to mention all of the other vaccines that we take for granted without a thought such as MMR, Polio, Meningitis, etc, etc.
History is a wonderful thing. Vaccines work and there are brilliant minds doing the best they can to keep our dumbass human race going.

Natural immunity also wanes. It is not the case, as this anaesthesiologist seems to be implying, that getting infected once is enough. Natural immunity also comes with dangers of long covid. People are living with weakened hearts, scaring to their brains etc. because of this disease. It is not something people should just be rolling the dice with.
Also, like others have said, please drop the ‘experimental vaccine’ talk. We have seen how successful the vaccines have been at preventing serious disease. The limited number of cases of people suffering side effects are vastly outweighed by the clear benefits to the population. It is much more of a gamble to try natural immunity and see how your body reacts.
I have a bit of sympathy in terms of long-term side effects of the vaccine being unknown, but these concerns are again outweighed by the immediate benefits. We’ll only really know about these in 10 or 20 years time, but it’s not like we can wait around for the results. mRNA vaccines have been tested on humans since 2013 and they work.
I also can’t see any valid reason for a healthcare professional or care worker not to get the vaccine. As we’ve seen with new strains, natural immunity isn’t a fail safe. Boosters provide real, effective protection. Why would someone want to put patients at risk in this way? It seems such a selfish decision.

Well live attenuated vaccines are quite different to mRNA vaccines. A lot of previous vaccines are attenuated and don’t tend to need regular top-ups to provide immunity.
I respectfully disagree. I’m speaking for myself not the entire community. Every has a different opinion.
The Flu vaccine incorporates new strains of the virus but it is not a new technology. Also, healthcare workers have the right to refuse the flu vaccine without being threatened with losing their jobs.
I’m not arguing that vaccines don’t work. I’ve taken a some of the vaccines you just mentioned: BCG, MMR etc. I’m arguing that we should be not be forced to take it and that there are already known side-effects of mRNA vaccines such as the increased risk of developing myocarditis especially with the moderna vaccine in young men.
Has it been shown that natural immunity provides less protection than vaccinated immunity against covid-19? Why are we not looking to test for antibodies and immunity instead of ensuring take up of vaccinations. There seem to be a lot of cases of omicron in vaccinated people (many on this forum for example).
My brother in law has likened it to Nazi Germany and cited the Nuremburg Code.
And apart from the small fact that its totally irrelevant because the Nuremburg Code forbids medical testing on unwilling participants like when the Nazis injected saltwater into prisoners and extracted healthy organs and subjected people to frostbite to test how long theyd take to die which is not really the same as an entirely optional vaccine that could/would minimise effects and potentially save the more vulnerable. And apart from the fact that youre literally not being discriminated or victimised against because noone is holding anyone down and jabbing them or stealing property, displacing millions, exterminating entire families, attempting to wipe people from society. But apart from those things, yeah its exactly the same.
Basically its fuckwits being fuckwits and objecting to being called out for their fuckwittery
