Apart from all the unvaccinated people in the hospital with COVID you mean?
All the homies that are double vaxed and boosted who got the new variant had a slight cold and the sniffles.
Gf’s stubborn sister who has refused all vaccines got covid this week. She was bed bound for days and had some breathing issues.

Yeah but I mean apart from her, and all the other anecdotal evidence of people on here who have been vaccinated and slightly inconvenienced when they got COVID and weren’t bed bound on ventilators, and all of the other people in the country that have had a vaccine and haven’t died, what OTHER evidence is there?
Exactly, none
Haha innit.
Nice to see the evidence that the vaccine DOES work first hand though.
Ok fine. But why use the term ‘experimental’ which is deliberately misleading, has negative connotations, and makes it seem like it contains a process that hasn’t been trialed before. Which is not the case at all.
The COVID-19 vaccine isn’t experimental. MMR and shingles are attenuated. Flu and Polio vaccines aren’t. They’re just different ways of creating vaccines so I really don’t think you should use the term experimental.
Every single country with high vaccination rates is reporting that on this huge omicron wave the hospitals are being filled with unvaccinated
We also are not seeing side effects from millions upon millions of people being vaccinated
I’m not a statitician but overwhelming evidence seems to suggest you’re a retard if you willingly choose to not get vaccinated. Even more so if you’re a healthcare worker who willingly chooses not to get vaccinated
The majority of non retards would like their healthcare workers to also be non retards
Is that okay @sotonjon? If my elderly parents get sick or injured and need healthcare. Or if my children or I needed healthcare, I’d really like it if the people being paid to take care of us weren’t idiots. I’d like it if they listened to science instead of believing in fairy tales
@sotonjon serious question - Would you still think people should retain the same right to refuse a vaccine if someone presented you with absolute proof that not having it caused other people to die?
The way I look at it, there is evidence that being unvaccinated causes deaths on the NHS front line. So they either vaccinate everyone or remove those who won’t get the vaccine.
Not strictly related to being unvaccinated and working on the frontline, but thought I’d share this anyway. Latest stats show that even though unvaccinated people are a minority, they form the majority of critical care cases in hospitals.
Well, respectfully, you don’t need to call someone a retard because you don’t agree with them. If you have antibodies surely you don’t need extra immunity. I still don’t think it’s acceptable than you can be sacked for refusing a medical intervention. A lot of these healthcare workers who are unvaccinated (roughly 100,000) are experienced clinical practitioners that have reservations. You make it out as if they are anti-science.
That tends to happen when you repeatedly refute science
I’m calling people retards because I’m sick of talking about this shit. Ignoring science because of personal beliefs make you anti science. Being anti science (up until the point where you need science to save your life because your previous stance meant you got sicker than you needed to) makes you a retard
“Of these, 74% had not had three doses of vaccine—including 25% (206) who were unvaccinated, 6% (49) who had received one dose, and 43% (352) who had received two doses. Twenty three percent (189) had received a booster dose, and the remainder were unknown or had had their first dose less than three weeks ago.”
The article states that more people were admitted to hospital in December who had had 3 vaccines than those that had been unvaccinated. Their own data implies that 26% of patients admitted to hospital had had 3 vaccines, 43% had 2 jabs, 6% received one dose and 25% were unvaccinated. It’s slightly confusing, the way that this data has been presented.
People with 2 or more vaccines make up the vast majority of the population currently though. Over 3/4s right?
So understood proportionally the numbers you’ve quoted show that the unvaccinated are over represented.
I’d also hazard that those with any amount of vaccine will have better health outcomes as a result of their hospitalisation.
Nah because that would mean loads of people were dying before people started vaccinating and that didnt happ… oh
Not seen any specific studies comparing natural and vaccine immunity. But the immunity people may have picked up from getting delta is evaded by omicron to a significant extent. So is it worth the risk of serious and long-term illness getting natural immunity when a vaccine booster which does not cause these things (bar very rare side effects) is readily available? Seems a no brainer to me.
Also, antibody tests are available. I think some PCR testing labs offer it. My work did - I had very low levels of antibodies in Autumn 2020, after the first wave (which is weird as I never had it). Which reveals some of the problems with antibody tests - the tests can be inconclusive in terms of exactly which strain you have antibodies for.
I agree that people shouldn’t be forced, however when there’s undeniable evidence that this vaccine is as close as possible to a magic bullet, I’d say that strongly encouraging every one who can get a vax is preferable. Obviously in the most friendly way with stickers and such… oh and the brilliant feeling of doing something great for yourself and others.
I only know one person who had Moderna, and that was on their first jab. Everyone else has been Pfizer the whole way through on all three.
Ive had two pfizer and one moderna. Only felt rough with the moderna but that went after exactly 24 hrs
More in absolute numbers but you’re not allowing for the fact that the unvaccinated are a tiny minority. They’re hugely over represented proportionally.
Edit: just scrolled back and seen Mr Magpie making the same point ![]()
I’ve had moderna for all 3, nothing other then a sore arm. Mrs had her booster yesterday again Moderna, and she is in bed feeling rough. Paracetamol every 4 hours etc.
Well by that argument using the figures in the article: 75% of patients admitted to hospital with covid-19 have had more than one vaccine, 25% of patients admitted with covid-19 are unvaccinated. That doesn’t prove to me that it is a pandemic of the unvaccinated.
Further analysis by the agency has concluded that unvaccinated adults are as much as eight times more likely to be admitted to hospital than those who have been vaccinated and that booster doses are 88% effective at preventing hospital admission.
i.e. there are tons of people in hospital who wouldn’t be if they weren’t such daft Michael Fabricants vs pretty much nobody who is there suffering side effects from dangerous and untested vaccines.
