It’s because they have come up against a problem that won’t go away with lies and spin. It takes strong leadership and proper policies.
That’s what I hate about this country. The vast majority of people do see this bunch of fucks for what they are. The problem is most of them don’t or refuse to realise that it is indeed this government specifically that are causing the problems. They see “the government” as a single entity, and happily moan about how they’re all liars, cheats, corrupt etc. But then when it comes to election time suddenly it’s “Well they’re all the same but this lot are still better than the other lot, all that bad stuff that happened is just what politicians do”. Fucking morons
Well said. When Margaret Ferrier made that Covid-fuelled trip from London to Glasgow everybody was going mad because Sturgeon hadn’t sacked her, very obviously having no idea how parliament works and how people get there. Much like how the Scottish Independence referendum got ‘a generation politicised’ because lots of young people went out and voted. Then about eight weeks later, in the local council elections, the turnout was 18%. Because I guess people see it as pointless if they can’t change their facebook profile picture to something fashionable. And those local councillors are so boring, right?!
Like the Brexit thinking of us being ruled by ‘unelected bureaucrats in Brussels!’, spouted by thick cunts who’ve never voted in the European Parliamentary elections that they’re entitled to. Gets complicated when it isn’t just a yes/no answer and all your mates are voting one way already.
A lot of people nowadays think that if they don’t like something they need to absolutely hate it, and that the alternative should be the complete opposite. It’s all a bit more nuanced and complicated, but not much more if you pay attention. People are getting way stupider and if you aren’t voting in every election/referendum that you’re entitled to you should have your social media accounts taken off you so you can’t speak in public since your opinion on politics or government doesn’t count if you’re too fucking lazy to vote.
Quit now!
It really does, no expertise in that field. A total disgrace once again.
Jobs for the girls.
Gove reckons longer than 4 weeks.
Deffo longer than 4 weeks. This shit isnt going to be over for a long time.
O’Leary strikes again.
Check Ryan Airs figures £100 something million loss in a 6 month period up to September that created them £1.15billion profit last year. Wow.
O’Leary’s personal car is a registered taxi so he can use the bus lanes without reprise. Dickhead.
He’s like the kind of guy that would take a lolly off a child aye
That’s exactly what will happen in a lot of countries. It’s completely unsustainable.
Unless they get this real-time test working and mass producible. If everyone can find out instantly if they need to isolate then things can get back much closer to normal
I have some friends over in South Korea where they have done pretty much that and things are very much normal, needs people to stick the rules and some strict enforcement though.
Also requires a population of people who aren’t complete fuckwits who actually believe in science and actually proactively get themselves tested and self isolate when told. I won’t hold my breath about that.
They’ve also got recent experience from SARS/MERS (can’t remember which one) so people generally take it more seriously I think.
That is another factor, before Covid much of this stuff was something that happened in far away distant countries so you can see why we might have dithered back in March, now less so.
The anti lockdown anti mask brigade in Manchester today.
I’d love to smash bottles over all their gammon heads.
Stupid cunts.
Boris doesn’t help, locking up students in covid camps! Making it illegal to do anything that isn’t basically big business and commerce, I bet it’s easy to get in to the ant-brigaders heads and get them fired up just by saying ‘1984’ repeatedly at them. Not that they’ve ever read it mind.
All these gammons were backing the lockdown and trying to save the NHS in March.
The people of Wales have been warned to expect another lockdown in the new year as First Minister Mark Drakeford has said there was a “path through to Christmas” without needing another “firebreak”.
So are they basically conceding they’re just going to have Christmas anyway but then probably go back to a lockdown in the New Year? I’d hate to have to make these kinds of decisions but it really does look silly at times.
