Never been to Malta but I’ve heard it’s quite barren/rocky and there are lots of stray cats?
Also I once worked as a theatre usher over the Fringe and there was a very popular musical from Malta called “PORN: The Musical” which was about when the island of Malta discovered porn and was thus liberated from its oppressive Roman Catholicism. The happy opening song was called “Everyone In Malta Is Related”

Theres the best wind carved stone quarter pipes all along the coast on the northern island Gozo, very worth going to if in Malta, I’d go back just to skate them again and see the Megalithic temples
