I’ve tried three times to make this over the last 17 years. I think I just needed to grow up a bit, and take a step back and approach it again from a different angle.
Jamie’s father passed away in March, which gave me the spark to actually make it happen. I wrote up a rough outline and got Jamie’s step brother’s blessing to make it, which made us both well up.
My aunt works at the BBC, which was so handy in getting all of the archival news reports on the events I speak about in the film. It’s easily the most important thing I’ve done, and one of the only things I’ve done (apart from the Decimal vid) which I’m fully happy with and proud of.
The premiere will be at a film festival at the Curzon Cinema in Clevedon, one of the oldest purpose built cinemas in the UK. Pretty special.
