I liked that.
I wanna see some more for weird shit like the Osiris G bag or something.

don’t know about an element rail but skated the hell out of an Argos rail
Will post this in the hobbyist thread too. So far it’s all in english but might switch to french of german.
Pretty sure this guy was supposed to be the Thrasher editor at one point. Such an ATV ripper and good guy. Looking forward to this.
Phil Shao doc is good. That Madrid bowl pivot burned into my brain as well.
Whole thing must’ve been cooking for a while as it’s got Phelps in it.
Good that. Didn’t know much about Shao. So shit how he departed
It’s good they did this documentary. If Cardiel considered Phil his favourite that kind of illustrates your favourite pro’s favourite pro.
Also, his peak seemed to be around the time video’s were still relatively few so there was no over saturation and as mentionbed some stuff even got missed. I remember reading about the bs 180 at santa rosa and everyone being mind blown. His parts were always good. The only person with a similar effect today is Grant Taylor. What Grant says about skating everything is really poignant. The tiltmode videos gave him the best salute they could but you can’t help feel he would have had a full part if he was still around.
That was a great watch. I was aware of the name, but it was only until watching this video that I realised I used to confuse him with Tim Brauch - I had no idea he died in a drunk driving accident. There’s sadly been too many of those in skating.
Anyway, the dude ripped.
Yeah me too. I saw this and thought, ‘Oh the 50/50 to lip slide dude’ … and that’s Brauch, right? Oops.
Tim Braunch was also really rad and sn ATV
If he and Tim Brauch had both lived, skateboarding could have taken a much different course
If/when Reform get in I’d love to move to Scandinavia. How long till Trump starts eyeing up Norway?
This was an amazing watch.
Wifes pal was over last night so I watched this on the spare telly
If you ever think you’re a shit parent, the interviews with people in this will make you feel like Supernanny
The hip hop thread disappeared, so I’ll post this here.
I can’t remember which of you legends dug out this youtube channel but it’s a small goldmine of 1996 hip hop archives.
They recently posted up this Berlin B-boy session and long form interview with Lauren Hill.
Phil Shao doc was a good watch.
Knew he was the man from a couple of the older heads I grew up skating with, but good to be reminded just how fucking ground breaking he was.
100%, I kinda missed how much of an ATV he was, how well liked he was and what a seemingly pleasant guy he was.
In my head, he always got lumped in with how weird Thrasher felt in the 90s in some ways. That weird pre-00s hesh/barney era that seemed out of step with everything else at the time.
