The only Big Baby Boo Boo line I vaguely remember was about stealing your brothers shoes

Some dope shit through this

I had a really similar one ages ago where I would cover songs from parts on a kazoo or something shit.

Also thought of having a round of guess the section based on recognisable noises but the only one I can remember now is PJ Ladd going over a drain in his really sorry part.

I can hear that drain noise

1 point to you

Interesting! I had Word… Life there first but changed my mind.

ha, rad! That’d be far more interesting.

Max, I don’t have the tune on my puter, need to find it learn. Need to work on my snare rolls for this one.

For me the first half of the 90s were unbeatable, 1991 in particular. I had a tape of Tim Westwood’s Capital Rap Show from then that I would love to hear again.

Jeff Young Big Beat Show on Radio 1 was essential listening.

Fuck, I found an episode or two.
I’ve looked over the years for anything about it but usually failed.

Westwood was so good for so long.

explosion noise

I guess he became a parody when everything got big but those weekend shows were the shit.

Floor odoriser sent around a golden era mixtape years ago, was about 3 hours long and was so good, will have to see if I can dig it up

It’s always a bit obnoxious when people post on a forum and say ‘you’re welcome’, but…

Ultramagnetic MCs - ‘Critical Beatdown’.

Just type “golden era mix” into mixcloud search and there’s loads that come up that are really good , not some randoms shite bedroom mix.

Great post, listening to this again now.

This is so good. Amazing tune selection and order, a sensible use of skate noises, brilliant mixing.

Massive props Andy Smoke.

Just finished the Wu documentary. Thanks for the (Cuban) linx! Loads of interesting bits. Won’t spoil it for anyone but if you remotely like Wu then it’s a great watch. I can’t imagine many/any other rap crew having the same kind of story to tell.

That mix is a gift that keeps on giving. :+1:
