The Sidewalk One hasn’t loaded since about Dec 2018 if that’s the one you mean.

Sorry, I got confused. I thought LS was talking about a version of the forum being hosted on the UKSA site, which it obvs wasn’t.

Well, I thought something sort of similar too. I thought the image Wayout posted was the old N26 skin and for some reason a screen capture existed on ukskate.org. On second thought, every messageboard looked like that back then so maybe all along there was a parallel forum? Iirc, Aleysha used to troll another skate forum, so maybe that’s what the thread with her name is about?
Yeah, there was a forum on the UKSA site for a few months.
It was for SOS shops only as when @Mark and I were involved, that was something the stores asked for.
So, it was private - but it used a similar skin to most other forums.
It was a fucking nightmare because of one or two shop owners. In that classic adult way, one ended up spamming the forum by changing everything to daft thread names (like those in the screen grab) just to piss everyone else off. So, we just abandoned the idea.
I don’t remember much, but I do remember Sean Goff flexing on dudes who owned shops by showing a load of footage of himself and goading everyone into posting themselves to show if they were a real skater or just someone who owned a skateboard.
One of my favourite moments was Hem from Motel 6 responding with a legit, recent video part.
It was excellent witnessing the shrivel.
EDIT: When I say one or two shop owners were difficult and then talk about Goff, those aren’t linked. I can’t remember 100% who it was, but it wasn’t him.

I remember when I started to help a little for UKSA and went onto the forum. Jeez it was embarrassing, I don’t think I logged on more than twice.
The old N26 was black/grey/orange and every five seconds at work i’d max the screen, the boss saw it on his camera, he asked me about the dark screen and I gave him some bullshit but then Anon let us change it to white so I wouldn’t get caught. Very grateful for that as I still work in the same place just that 12+ years ago I took the company off that boss. It’s a shame so much content has been washed away but i’m glad we have this place to start a new, I don’t think we’d have resurrected that old one in the same way we rebuilt this one. Props Spanks.

Yeah. The first few posts were genuine - asking about brands they buy or payment plans or whatever business stuff they wanted - and then it got really bitchy between a couple of people whose view was “Why would I pool my knowledge on something with a competitor?” which I get - but never understood why they didn’t just ignore rather than go ape shit at people who at the end of the day are just the same as them.
It was embarrassing, for sure.
