Wow ok, that’s some unhinged shit mate. Look, I don’t care who you are but if you re read the above, I didn’t go too far at all, you escalated it and I didn’t back down because your argument was a bit off, that’s all.

I won’t stope posting even if no one agrees with my points, and I never backtrack, I only try to re explain because others can misinterpret, that’s because I am not that great in articulating my point, I admit that. But I always stand by my point and that’s why it escalates with people like you.

Yesterday I was going to reply to @barf’s initial post but that was before the shit hit the fan. I was at the beach, chilling with my dog and couldn’t be bothered to cock my day up by getting in the mix. In fact, that back and forth made me remember why I don’t really, (other than this place), fuck with the internet much.
As soon as I saw the Mike Lottie Vice video piece and it reached the part about the shop closure I remembered the Nakel and homies thing. It wasn’t only mentioned on Slap at the time but in a number of other places too. Come the morning there’s @ciaran asking what happened and @maxfacepalmer saying, ‘something about Nakel’. So stupidly I thought I’d help out. Sorry all.
The ‘one Slap post’ was essentially just a précis of the ten page, three year old Slap thread, (that at times did get a bit ‘Lord of the Flies’ pile on tbh), and I thought it put into context the YouTube link of Nak and his mates. Maybe a short explanation on my part might have helped.
Surely it doesn’t need pointing out that it was always just his behaviour that was being criticised and his race was absolutely not a part of the issue. His age, however, may have been a contributing factor in his dumbass behaviour In that I’m sure we all did some stupid shit when we were kids. Although I would say that to me the bullying and taunting of Sammie, a guy with learning difficulties,(who features in the new Vice video about Mike), who had found a home and friendship within the shop, was inexcusable. It’s undeniably there to see in that YT video short.
Not so long back Biebel was ‘cancelled’ , for want of a better term, for doing something that was pretty much the same - filming and laughing whilst his mate punched out a guy who clearly had mental health issues. Now I’ve met Beibel on a couple of occasions, albeit twenty years ago, and he was nothing but a great dude, doesn’t mean that what he did with the posting of that video meant that I still thought he was alright. Obviously, people can change and he changed for the worst. Nak did that shit and it was wrong and maybe he’s changed for the better - who knows, or cares really. Apparently, at the time Nakel did try to address it by explaining that he was drunk at the time that video was shot. Make of that what you will.
The fact that nobody in the Vice video really wanted to speak about the situation that led to the shop closure means that it’s essentially water under the bridge to them and those directly involved have just put it to one side and moved on. So maybe that’s where it belongs. It probably didn’t need raking up but it isn’t really too much of a surprise that it reared its ugly head again after the Vice doc.
Immediate edit: I see it’s kicked off again. Sorry for potentially being the catalyst with me posting a cut and paste from Slap with bugger all context. Probably should have put a bit more thought and effort into it really and maybe the mudslinging shitstorm could have been avoided

You’re always so fucking angry and he doesn’t know when to stop talking. It makes the whole forum so fucking shit. Like I can read that exact irrelevant argument shit in the comment section of a cooking video about omelettes on Instagram if I wanted to.

I’m with Barf on this one. Slap’s pretty toxic, which is fine if you treat it as entertainment. Just don’t make the mistake of thinking it’s real life. Goes for everything on the internet really.
I’ll be honest I don’t like cancel culture at any level because people are complex and always changing. Just take people as you find them and try not to listen to or spread gossip.
