Epicly Later'd

Incredibly important skateboarder who by many accounts seems like an absolute greedy bellend. Will no doubt still watch and enjoy.

I don’t care, I know he’s an immature incel bellend but I love it.

Heath starting to look and sound like Sonny Barger.

Heath’s credited as the producer

Hi Jim, I’m Mike, 47 in a few weeks and play with on a skateboard when I’m not pretending to be a grown up

*not an incel. Sex is nice.

Enjoyed that, came across alright tbh. Who am I to say.

That was really great.
Fuck, pre video days he was the actual best.
Rubbish heap was such a breath of fresh air.

Did not know he came up with that classic birdhouse ad layout style.
Beryl is pronounced ‘berle’?
He got nothing but his own boards on his wall?
Still need that Tony medallion tshirt.

I agree with Dan Rogers and you @jimo - this is necessary and Klein absolutely has been left out of the nostalgia movement.
His Rubbish Heap part is still mind-blowing - 1989 is a long time ago.

Enjoyed it.

Cliver nailed it with the ‘professional teenager’ comment. I guess Klein was just 100% honest about that aspect of pro skateboarding.

Shame it’s the Tom Petty version.

This is a criminally underrated video. I wish I still had my VHS.

JK starts at 14:30.

The Willy Santos section has to be the worst filmed section in skate history, but it is still sick.

Met him at the SHoF thing in the summer, when he got inducted. He was smaller than I thought he’d be, smartly dressed, and seemed quite anxious.

That board with the face and the inset beveled part of the graphic is rad. Is a JK industries board or a Greco thing?

That was great

Had to get one of these a few years ago

It was a Hammers deck. I bought one when they came out, only modern deck I’ve bought to collect in years.

Great watch! JK has always been one of my favourites. I thought there was always something more understandable about his skating. As a kid watching Ravers he was doing the big ollies and b/s 180s when some of the other guys were doing the tech stuff so his skating always resonated more with me. Also, completely forgot about that fast plant over the shed into the bank in The End. WTF!

Haven’t watched yet, but I’m sure this story has been told a thousand times already :man_shrugging:t3:

Hoping for a new angle on things.

Will report back.
