I have a flat (now warped) Vision Gonz reissue and some 52mm / 82a OJ Plain Janes that I use for getting about occasionally.

What Mason board was that?
If you find the season it was from the real site, it usually lists the shape, concave etc

Ah ok. I’m considering getting a Mason board soon as I can get Deluxe boards from last year for pennies. Thinking about a 8.5 as it has the same dimensions as a BA I’m skating at the moment (8.5, 31.75, 14.25) which is lovely.
Have any of you tried those wooden risers Real make? I’ve been skating with risers since EE3 came out and am well tempted by these.
this is going to sound really stupid but i use the rubber risers and feel like they off more shock absorption than wooden ones. doubt it’s actually any real difference but still
Rubber… like soft rubber? Doesn’t that make your setup sound weird?
I use the Independent ones but fuck plastic.
I’ve got some plastic ones made by indepedent and some ancient world industries ones made of something very similar to bushing rubber
And no, setup sounds normal. I think wheels make the main difference to sound which is why I don’t like those dragon wheels
Careful if you ride indys as these are probably fitted to Thunders. But you can redrill them or whatever.
They make variations iirc. Thunder, Venture and Universal.

These are the universal ones but yeah they do make special ones for Thunders and Ventures.
I feel like people forget that Venture is out of DLX these days.
Can’t remember the last time I saw some in the wild. Though I really don’t pay attention to people’s setups much at all
Edit - unless they’re lurpiv/lurpak and then you’re getting rinsed for having LEGO trucks
