Yeh grind king ones had a plastic shield that went on the bearing nearest the axle then the but had a flange that would cover the outer bearing.
Silver trucks when I had a set had a sort of nut cover on them. Like a dome nut essentially

Ah yes - I remember the Silver Trucks ones
Anyone tried those Real wooden risers?
Any noticeable difference from normal risers?
Nah but I’ve wanted to for ages, just can’t find them here as the local DLX distro is rubbish. Let me know how they are if you get your hands on a set. They look pretty dope.
I think they must have produced a whole load recently as they’ve reappeared in skate shops in the last week or so here in Australia.
Looks like those weird Grind King trucks are about to be released. For what it’s worth I think they’re ugly as anything- especially the orange ones - but the design thinking is interesting. Things like the adjustable wheelbase, the load-spreading baseplate and the anti-shear kingpin sleeve make sense.

Got some Spitfire Reynolds 52mm Soft Sliders (93a) from CSC last week. Yet to try them out. But it’s coooold here now.
i quite like the idea of being able to adjust your own wheelbase. it’d be useful for testing the difference it makes to you as a human. on the other hand i hate everything about these
They look like shit as well. And looks are everything.
It sounds good on paper but I’d hate having that option, I’d never know what I prefer.
Not into the idea of the grooves on the hanger either, I love making my own grooves, plus when I’m doing a 5-0 or a nosegrind I lock in with the wheel on the edge of the ledge. Locking in differently, with those grooves, would get me off-balance I suppose, and as @Mark said, looks are everything.
What do I know though? I’m not even a freestyler.
I’m not listening to anyone with that griptape or those shoes.
Yeah, it screams kook
But what a lovely guy
Was genuinely surprised he had a Quasi board
Surley moving the trucks in will add more leverage and pressure on the deck. Leading to snapping the tail like a well oiled snail.
christ, not seen rad rat content since his wife walked out on him and he was still making content about rodney mullens shoes or whatever whilst being completely broken as a human.
Oh jesus!
Never watched any of his stuff but his seeing his thumbnails now knowing this is excruciatingly sad.
They look like Krepers, and I can’t have anyone thinking I’m skating with Krepers lol
Where did you get this quote from?
Dan Joyce said it in Dainton vs Pritchard
