holy fuck that’s crazy!

How much did he charge to make a shape?

He did it for me gratis CMOAC. I can’t remember how much it is usually, maybe 40EUR or something?

I’m not getting any commission or anything for this, I was genuinely stoked on how great the shape came out

Shout out Keen/Slam/Polar for the less than 24 hours between ordering and delivery.

No shout out to DPD for not even bothering to ring my doorbell, just left it outside some random door down the hall

So these turned up this morning.
They look weird. They feel light versus my Lurpivs. They could be good, or they could turn out to be the biggest pile of shit ever. I have no way of telling at the moment because it’s raining outside.

The base plates look pretty wide. I suppose they need to be in order to handle the triple bolt holes.

Not that would make a difference to anything really. Just an observation.

A wider baseplate is heavier. No big deal I suppose, I personally have regular and hollow Indys on my setups and don’t really care about the weight difference.

Would love to be able to change my wheelbase at a stroke like that but otherwise they’re a no from me

Pre worn trucks with a Kreper baseplate.

They look pre worn out

Which is inevitable I suppose

I like pretty trucks

They’re very wide. They’re also curved rather than a straight line on the inside edge. They say they adapted the idea from the old Cell Block risers, to spread impact load and make deck breakage less likely. But they’re also hollowed out, so these trucks end up lighter than my Lurpivs. As I say, I don’t know how they ride yet, so the jury is still out on whether I’m going to keep them.

Grindkings had the hollow baseplate back in the early 2000s.

I must have set up hundreds of flip hkd decks, union jack grindkings and lucky wheels.

I bet most were used 3 times then stuffed in a garage.

The real cool kids had flame GK’s… (I didn’t have flame GK’s)

My best mate’s first proper board paired black and red check Grindkings with purple Ricta Supercrystals. I think the deck was a Flip as well, some Boulala pro model I think.

They look absolutely mental. Good luck!

You mean they had these

I was so jealous of my mate Arran who had those!

It’s like they’ve eroded from being mall-grabbed

I think I stopped skating long enough ago that I can finally speak my truth. The mall grab is the superior way to hold a board. I used to heckle mall grabbers but deep down I knew they were more comfortable than I was while carrying their board. It’s so much better and you all know it.
