Wouldn’t mind trying those Reynolds Soft Sliders at some point. They seem like they’d be great on a setup for crusty spots.

After years of use my skate backpack is wearing out - it’s a dakine/independent trucks collab. I just ordered a Nike SB RPM pack because it has both skate straps and those rows of webbing straps the military use for attaching stuff. So if I’m going to the skatepark and I need to take a helmet I can strap it outside with a helmet holder if I need to.

Had to check a local shop just for a sense check, standard decks are still 65EUR here. But then again I was looking at Hockey boards on the slam site. Still, that’s twice as expensive. Mad.

How much are Hockey decks where you are? I thought they were the same price everywhere outside the US.
Yeah I’ve got a £40 Polar deck sitting in the basket. Just hoping the sale lasts until I get paid.
Full price gear definitely feels pricier at the moment. Not sure who’s paying £80 for a deck. £60 for wheels. £80 for a pair of trucks. And with Trumps tarrifs feels like stuff will only get more expensive

Not exactly spoilt for choice here:
Closest spot is My Favourite Things (Finland) most Hockey decks are 95EUR, one was 109EUR.
Skatedeluxe is the other place I sometimes get stuff, all 90EUR there.

Don’t think you’ll have any issue, sale decks will either sell or maybe be reduced further.
Oddly enough I had a mess about on the BOE inflation calculator last weekend - I’m sure my first new pro deck was something like £35 (on sale rack too) in 90/91 which is roughly £80-85 in Dec 2024 money.

I think Element, Real and Antihero are sometimes BBS and sometimes China (guessing the team decks are cheap China crap and pro decks are BBS)
What do you usually buy?
I used to buy only Girl/Choc GO23 shape.
Then I got a Real Ishod TT and I wanted something similar, like a mash up of the Girl/Ishod TT.
Then I met a guy from Finland who hand makes those custom carbon fibre/composite/slick boards, and at like 120EUR they’re pretty fairly priced! And I think he’s actually got the exact shape I designed on his shop now. So I’m going to knock up a new graphic for it and just re-up. Will have to ask him if he’ll let me do a custom slick bottom 1-off. Graphics on his shop I don’t really like.
