What’s the best soft slideys to get?

Going to start skating again soon (I hope) after 9 months off and want some niceys

Lots of people seem to rate the spitfire 93a ones. I haven’t tried them yet. Dragons are ok. Think @mark was running the slightly harder bones x formula

Had bones and currently running soft sliders. Both same really. Think I might like soft sliders tiny bit more for no real reason I can think of @tbk11

Dragon 93a are good - I have those. I’ve also heard good things about Spitfire Soft Sliders 93a. Although they’re both 93, some people say the spitfires feel a little more like a regular hard wheel. And there’s also a new X Formula 95a. Any of those are worth buying. They’re all ride-anywhere wheels.

I picked up some Spitfires last year and have been happy with them. (Park and some rough spots).

I got some ‘used’ 52mm Reynolds off a guy on Vinted recently for £21! Not sure where he used used them as they’re like brand new. Not tried them yet, saving them for the new board for the summer season.

Got to be careful there are fakes going around!

Cheers all, I didn’t think wheels could get better than regular formula fours deffo looking forward to giving these a go

So… Reynolds skating 8.25s on 139s, Sebo skating 8.12s on 149s.

None of this makes sense to me, but what do I know?

PS: link won’t show, I don’t know why these sometimes work and sometimes don’t. Sorry.

I think sometimes it’s down to whether there’s a line break before/after the link

Yeah I tried copying the link with the copy link option on Insta and copying it straight from the address bar and nothing worked. Feeling like such a boomer, haha.

It’s ok, I’m well over 20 years working in IT and haven’t got a clue either

I swopped the RipTides out for AF1 pivots today as the RipTides had gone loose once they’d broken in and my back truck was constantly leaning to one side no matter what I did. The AF1’s are much better and they’re far cheaper as you say. Trucks felt better, are now centred and not wobbling about in the pivot hole. Thanks @franc :+1:

Got to be something about the boards Sebo is riding or the moulds they use to shape around. Would love him to actually measure the width of the deck.

I’ve skated the Antihero eagle decks for a long while and the blue 8.5 is actually thinner than the green 8.38 (I got my ruler out). It’s mad they’re still calling it 8.5. It’s both shorter and thinner than the 8.38.

Yeah it’s DLX’s classic “8.5” shape which is more like a 8.375 that tapers down to 8.25 towards the tail or something. One of my favourite shapes, the 14.25 wheelbase sucks for 360 flips and some flip tricks but it’s a really good shape for everything else, well, everything I do at least.
Skated over 10 of those during the last 3 years, some DLX brands and also Magenta which use the same shape for their 8.4 planks.

What’s your ideal WB for 360 flips?

They feel really good on that Tommy Guerrero shaped board I’m skating which has a 14.12 wheelbase and a really round tail.
They work fine on a 14 wheelbase too of course, although I haven’t skated a board with a short wheelbase like that in a while. They require mad effort on boards with a 14.25 wheelbase, no matter if we’re talking about 8.125 popsicles or wider shaped boards.
