Ricta Clouds? Bloody love mine on the pogged up roads around here.

Yeah. The difference between them and my normal set up is night and day.

Hahaha!

I’ve been eyeing up some Clouds for a setup that I don’t need - this has tipped the scale a little further towards buying.

If I commit, I’m not sure whether to go for 78 or 82 (78 is currently Added To Cart).

I just checked and they are 78s

It handled this and worse. I just got to work in 10 minutes which has taken about 12 minutes off my pb.

I think they would be lethal in a skatepark though. I doubt there’s any skid in them at all.

Set this up and haven’t touched it since. DLX stuff is fairly easy to come by around here, for (possibly) obvious reasons… Not sure about the colour. Might get another in green.

Cheers Les - appreciated.

The roughest part of what I want them for is a recently resurfaced / stone chip road so think 78’s will be more like it.

looks like a door. how big is it?

my friend had the same deck a while back, iirc it was 8.5

Yep, 8.5.

Div is lacking on 7.75s, sadly.

5 or 6 years ago I thought shaped boards were for old farts that didn’t skate anymore but then I got one and another one and I want to skate more and I skate more since I got them.

How can you set something up and not skate it right away? I have to. Even if it’s just ollieing up the curb down the road twice, I cannot have it waiting super fresh, it’s got be mine ASAP.

I have a dilemma,

I have an 8.375 board at home and have been skating 8.25 krux trucks which are now fucked but can’t afford to replace for a month or two.

I have an old slightly less fucked pair of thunder 147’s.

Should I ride the 8.25 trucks and have a new board instantly feel shit, or ride the 147 trucks and them be the wrong size?

Fucked in what way?
Axle threads fucked and not able to take the nuts off because you will never get them back on, grind wear and tear or bushings?
2 out of three of those surely wouldn’t cause too much concern and one option could even be fixed, new bushings.

They’re Krux so both axles are pretty bent and the bushings are mushed.

No pun intended

Didn’t think about bent axles.
As you were.

Loved Krux Downlows years back. Personal favourites.

Yeah I’ve always found the Krux 8.25’s amazing for the first 6 months.
But I’ve bent all 3 pairs I’ve had and I weigh just over 9 1/2 stone and no longer skate big ish stuff.
Admittedly I got them in America 2 summers ago for $30 so can’t complain.

Thought I’d join in. Top is my old Blind deck bought from Florida on holiday in about 2002. Don’t let the scratches fool you. I couldn’t actually grind anything properly, the scratches are just from many failed attempts on kerbs.
Bottom is my current setup. Palace 7.75, Kre-Per trucks (also from around 2002ish), and Death 53mm wheels. I’ve included a close up of the trucks because they seemed to be quite a conversation starter in Ideal. (Again, don’t let the scratches fool you.)

A guy I knew had the glow in the dark ones.

Yeah I threw away my old generic trucks when I stopped skating about 15years ago but kept my old deck for nostalgia. When I wanted to get back into skating a couple of months ago my friend let me have the Krepers. They were the trucks he used when we skated together as teenagers. Pretty nostalgic also. They are pretty heavy though. And yeah, they look pretty gothic
