Just finished happy Gilmore 2, it’s really not great, but good lord it’s incredibly watchable and entertaining.
A fair few actual lols in there too.
Good enough for me!!
Edit: Not the worst 2 hours I’ve spent - the lol content was worth it.
Enjoyed HG2.
Fun. Feelgood. Good enough.
I listened to the rest is entertainment pod harp on about so I scratched the itch by finally watching happy it gilmore, the first movie. It’s pretty dated and awful. Real shallow american humour. When I’m in a mood for self flagelation I’ll watch number 2.
I just watched Superman at the cinema.
It’s lots of fun.
doesn’t take itself seriously and thankfully isn’t an origin story.
Enjoyable.
Just watched 28 years later and it was fucking shite.
Was buzzing to watch it as well ![]()
Watched Happy Gilmore 2 … it was a mess. When you come away remembering what was wrong with it more than what was right. It wasn’t good.
It was really good. Not sure what you were expecting
…better than the writers thinking the audience are not smart enough to get references and remember characters from the first film so turned it into one big clip show, or just super fucking lazy writing.
The original was over the top but always grounded in reality, not this. A mess of a film.
Eminem can’t act. The graveyard scene was great though and finished it liking Shooter the most by the end.
Someone on here recommended ‘wake in fright’. watched it with some lads the other night. Grimmest shit going but one of those ones you have to see and it stays with you.
‘New to The Yabba?’
Ive watched Kpop Demon Hunters way more than necessary. Daughter is so stoked on it. Had to learn the hairstyle as well
Ha. No on the hair yet, but heard all the songs a million times now
I don’t think you’re ready for the takedown
How its done is better
Soda pop is a good feel good tune about drinking people’s souls.
Dunno if it was me but that’s a great film
Gone on about this before but Not Quite Hollywood is a brilliant documentary on the Australian film industry
Nsfw
Saw Superman last night, but of fun and the dog was the standout but I’m likely forget that films existence in 5 years. Not sure who the blond was at the Daily Planet, what she was there for other than “bouncing” - felt like she set back feminism by a whole generation
yes man. RIP. doing a rewatch at the weekend with some pals.
currently deciding if to watch with or without commentary:

Love a good commentary. I’m sure I must have listened to this one, all I can remember is Peter fonda wrote his little speech about the 60s. Great casting there
