There are the Despecialised versions of the original trilogy out there to download if you want them. Easy to find on torrent sites. I have all three and a lot of work has gone into restoring them to their original versions. They look great and have been upscaled and fully colour corrected too. Amazing to compare the quality of these to the versions on Disney or Blu Ray.

I’ve got the og Star Wars on VHS complete with some 1987ish advert breaks, with Stand By Me and Happy Mondays ‘Call The Cops’ on the same tape too

That’s what I’m talking about. Our copy was the UK TV premier, taped off Central in 198?. Loads of wicked 80s adverts all the way. Now lost in time… etc

Bone Temple tonight. Maybe even better than 28 Days. Really good.
Loved it, but turned up to a 150 seater room and was the only person, watching a zombie film in the dark. Then when it finished, walked out the cinema with no sign of anybody whatsoever. Same thing on the walk across the shopping centre car park and the first mile home in the car. Thought the apocalypse had happened for real!

I saw it for the second time last night and loved it just as much as the first time. I noticed quite a lot of small details the second time round, very very good.
Is it just me or is One Battle After Another a right load of old bollocks?
Watched rental family the other night and thought it was great

I liked it. Saw it in the cinema and felt sick when the cars kept going over hills.
Thought it was absolutely amazing. The car chase scene was like Hitchcock. Loved its mad energy and the way it spoke to the US’s current descent into authoritarianism. Should win the best picture Oscar.

Yeah I loved it as well. The slight change in tone towards the end with Sean Penn’s character stopped it being a 5* for me (after the car chase it got a bit silly), but otherwise I thought it was brilliant.
Far better than Sinner’s, which was a lot of fun don’t get me wrong, but I’m baffled by the 16 Oscar noms thing - it was just From Dusk till Dawn with a cool dance scene in the middle.

Well I guess I’m well out of step but I didn’t buy any of it, the premise was stupid, the “black” dialogue was Grand Theft Auto level (and Sean penn looked like Jason dill)
I only got through half of it so maybe I’ll change my mind when I watch the rest. I’ll agree it was visually good, Leo was funny

Watched One Battle a couple of weeks back and while it was alright I’m unable to figure out what all the fuss was about, certainly not what I would call an Oscars triumph but what do I know?
