That is almost definitely where I saw it and it has stayed with me 30 odd years since. Probably watch it now and be massively underwhelmed but back then? Pftā¦ shit me up for days

The thing that shit me up the worst as a nipper was The Twilight Zone. Specifically the black & white one with the monster on the wing of the plane.

Edit: this has just triggered a memory of another thing I had on tape, The Incredibly Strange Film Show (I think?) presented by Jonathan Ross, he interviewed Sam Raimi on the set of Evil Dead II, they talked about the first one and Crimewave, loads of behind-the-scenes goodies. I wore that tape out too.

My Mrs couldnāt handle The Evil Dead. Absolutely hates my book of the dead DVD too 
Ever see the footage of Alex Cox and producer trying to sell Hunter Thompson his ideas for the Fear and Loathing movie? Boy did he get that wrong. Hunter looks ready to shoot them.

Odyssey at IMAX was rad

Yeah it was good. Didnāt see it in imax but it still looked great on a big screen. Pretty epic filmmaking all around, it was clearly a Nolan film but on a scale he hadnāt really achieved before, even on Dunkirk. Practical effects were cool as well.
I wasnāt too keen on the bit with him and Calypso, he was supposed to have spent 7 years with her but I never bought the relationship, or ever got a sense of what theyād been doing that whole time. I compared it to Inception where the time Cobb spent in the dreamworld actually felt like decades.
Really enjoyed it otherwise though.

Lately Iāve found thereās no better way to spend a hot summer evening than to draw the curtains and settle in to the definitive five-hour documentary about The Thing.
If youāre as big of a fan of the film as I am, the five hours fly by. I finished it last night and might just watch it all again. Itāll make you appreciate the film even more than you do already. So much nerd info.

Theres a six(ish) hour doc on Robocop and I was very, very happy to sit through that.
Might do it again.
