I can’t make your mind up for you, but… yes… you should have!
Watched two 90s bangers this weekend.
US Marshalls which was the sequel to the Fugitive. Banger. Was on one of the deep ITV channels so assume its on rotation somewhere.
Internal Affairs. Richard Gere as a baddie. Quite intense and pretty good but…hmm. spoilers to talk about it more. Enjoyed it up to a point. That one is on iplayer.
Con Air.
Watched Escape From New York at work last night for the first time. So many quotes that seem to have seeped into popular culture without the film itself having too much of an impact.
Watched Midsommar Directors Cut last night with a really close/long time friend and it was great.
I mean… we also had pizza, beers, cookies and his lovely dog to keep us company so it was a lovely night overall.
Then the mrs text me at 12:30 asking when I’d be home. I ignored it.
Had the day off so watched that new The Gray Man film on Netflix.
I can see why critics didn’t go for it because it’s really just one escalating action set piece after another. And maybe in the hands of a better director (it’s directed by Russo brothers) some of the scenes could have been filmed a bit more interestingly.
But actually, I really enjoyed it. It’s a big, ridiculous action film with a cool protagonist, a sexy Co-star and a creepy villain, and sometimes, that’s all you want from a film. 7.5/10
Just watched Pacific Rim again for the first time in a few years. Still love it.
Been looking for The Fugitive but couldn’t find it on Netflix or Disney, which was annoying.
Watched Speed with my son a few months back, it’s still awesome.
I tried watching braveheart. Somehow never seen it. Got bored.
Went to school with a weird army obessed kid who was into Warhammer and dressed in nothing but army fatigues 24/7. Every time we went round his house we had to watch Braveheart. Ive watched it about 20 times and Ive never seen it anywhere else other than that kids house
Cineworld showed the directors cut of robocop this evening and it was a joy to be able to watch it on the big screen finally as I was 10 year old when it came out in 87.
It’s uncanny how it’s still so relevant, even down to the hostage scene and the ex mayor demanding a recount and what ever the result he wants to be reinstated.
So ahead of it’s time and on the big screen it still looks good , which I was fearing it wouldn’t be .
If you get the chance go and see it.
Also Clarence J. Boddicker is one of the best bad guys to presence the screen. He’s such a genuine Michael Fabricant , so good .
Clarence Boddiker Is my favourite baddie ever.

Brilliant film. Most disappointed to report that it is not showing locally to where I am. Which is shit. As above, Boddicker is a great bad guy.
Bitches, leave.
Hearing very good things about the Predator film ‘Prey’ which is out on Disney+
Watched it the other night, it’s good fun. Admittedly I thought the trailer looked crap, but enjoyed the film.
Lightyear was great laugh too.
Yeah the cartoon bear in the Prey trailer was a bit shonky but the premise was great. I could imagine a Predator in feudal Japan up against Samurai and ninjas or dropping into WW2 or something like that.
Well the beauty of it is is you can drop a predator into any location in any era or in any scenario. You just take anything and put whoever’s in it up against a predator. Or a swarm of predators.
It’s limitless. Spice up Toy Story 5.
Lightyear was really good. Watched that last week…and I definitely enjoyed Prey.
Lightyear is so much fun. Loved it.
