I certainly will not be doing that because of your messages. I watched the documentary and felt compassion for the guy it centred around because of what he has gone through and that won’t change. Saying the incident was weird won’t change that, it’s just something you have taken exception to.

I think there are two scenarios with this. Terry is actually a racist Michael Fabricant at the core and really believes that they are a lesser race or in the heat of things he used the first and clearest insult he could with that tiny brain and used it to full effect. I think it’s the latter and does it make it any less racist? no, not as a result, the result is still the same and really the intention does not matter because it’s doing the same harm. So, while he’s not racist at core, he’s using racism as a tool to offend and that’s up there in similar levels. So, by rights, it should have been dealt with the same as straight up racism to make an example of the situ but all the above points were probably taken into consideration in order for him to come out of it ok. By todays standards, I think it would have been dealt with better.

There is no grey area in the result of that offence no but there are grey areas in the intention, that’s why he got away with it and why it was ever excused and why people would still excuse it.

Double post apols. Just finished the documentary. The fact that JT never even replied to Anton Ferdinand and had the cheek to have his representatives reply saying he had moved on in life truly shows what a bloke he is. He may of moved on, but that’s clearly not the case for Anton, at least have the respect to talk about it. All this is has done is confirm something I already knew, John Terry is the worst.

Don’t even know where to start on it. It’s just mental. With so few fans able to attend I hope they are able to identify and ban them. The replies to Lineker’s tweet is depressing. Talking about football not being a place for political stances - this isn’t political, this is against racism. Imagine waiting months to go watch your team, then being picked in a ballot out of thousands of people, and using that privilege to do this. Crazy!
