They’ve always been the best at defending but could be dry as falafel at going forwards but this new version of Italy where they do Total Football in attack and Maldini-era Milan at the back is ace to watch. Love how they celebrate defending as much as scoring.

Italy are the team I least want to play. The pace of their game has been mental this whole tournament and their passing is amazing. Could see them just pinging triangles around us and wearing us down. They’re pretty terrifying.

Some quality cheating from the Italians here

I hate this part of football.

Italy by far the better side. Wouldn’t fancy facing them one bit.

That was a great match that was slightly ruined by the bullshit at the end. Why play act like that. Pathetic

Yeah scummy theatrics there. I get it but it’s shit.

Feel bad for Lukaku but he’s still had a great tournament in front of goal, high pressure pen he put away as well. I’ll always be a fan.

Spinazzola tore his achilles tendon :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing:

Again, as a non football fan outside of tournaments where the epic narrative overtakes team allegiance etc - why are we against these kind of dramatic moments?
This is what makes it interesting to me.

Full lolz

The whole point of being a football fan is hating it when another team perform the dark arts like this but having a chuckle when it’s your own team. Hypocrisy at its finest but all part of it. Why? Cause ball is life.

I think it’s fair enough if you can do the entertaining and skilful stuff as well which Italy clearly can but if it’s about scoring bundled over tap in’s and then totally trying to shut up shop every game then that’s harder to respect.

Unfortunately managers are judged by their results not their great stylish losses.
