one of my favourite things about Emi (and it’s hard to choose just one) is just how fucking insanely in love Argentina are with him. Like sure, Messi is popular there and all, but is he this popular -
the number of awesome things with his name on them in his homeland is so high.
My Argie friend says that if Emi ran for president right now he’d get the entire vote
In Germany, their FA Cup/ Pokal games are played at the home of the lower division team in the draw. Seems to work, and might also explain how lowly 3rd tier Saarbrucken got to the semis twice in recent years.
2-0 flatters Arsenal there. Not saying we were incredible. But given the players available we had and the youth we had to rely on I’m walking out still happy with the performance. They don’t look like champions to me.
Sour note to the night was an Arsenal fan in the home end by me. Gloating and celebrating when they scored the second which riled home fans up. Unfortunately though he had brought his child who was very upset while the childs dad wanted to continue to argue and try and scrap wolves fans. No bias here, the Wolves fans were (albeit aggressively) telling him to leave, while he must wanted to continue to aggravate. Basically using his kid as a way to get away with it and ignoring how scared the child was. Not nice.
Most games I go to now at Villa there’s some idiot tourists in the home end wearing the away teams shirt and cheering. Always get an slap and the stewards kick them out.
Frustrating with how little trust Arteta has in our squad. The #11 look knackered and he’s given most of them a full 90 minutes and will do again on Tuesday vs Chelsea who are improving.
Ref and VAR have had a right nightmare today. Glad we got the win but Forest should have had 2, if not 3 penalties. Some shocking decisions went against them.
However, Forest coming out and claiming the VAR dude is a Luton fan is pretty embarrassing
