oh man don’t get me started on this one. you know i have a knee jerk hatred for gambling cheat football players. can’t stand Toney and don’t think he should be playing for England at all but he’s another player that Gareth has a hard on for

side question - regardless of win or lose this tournament, do you think Gareth will stay on, do you think Gareth SHOULD stay on?

He said he’s done after this tournament. Can’t see him or anyone else changing his mind.

This season, United would have been proper fucked without him.

Solanke in the only one I agree with on these comparisons.

Personally would have taken Hall over Tripps, but neither have played enough.

Anthony Gordon impact sub is going to be disgusting.

Yer very odd choice. Easy starting eleven below.

Pickford

Walker Stones Maguire Shaw

Bellingham Rice

Saka Foden Grealish

Kane

Would bring on Watkins and Gordon 100%, mix it up abit, or Eze.

Southgate is not a massive Grealish fan, I bet he is rarely in the starting line up.

No Palmer? Not sure how he fits in when/where but has surely earned himself a spot at some point

Comes on for Foden.

Gordon, Eze, Grealish all inter changeable for me on the left.

KDB should take that spot at Madrid.

Maybe shouldn’t read too much into this, but Trent listed as a midfielder and Bellingham as a forward:

Does that tell us something about where Gareth might play them? Or is this just some gamesmanship - a red herring for others?

No he’s since said the list was someone else putting names into positions without his input.

Kompany’s tactics (BTEC Pep) might work over there with better players.

Kompany undoubtedly has a good eye for getting a team playing good attacking football. But his stubbornness to change it when it clearly wasn’t working in the PL was naive at best. How many times did they play from the back and get punished but still not learn from it.

Him going to Bayern only proves to me even more that Harry Kane is cursed.

Yep, Milner. All day.

Chelsea going after McKenna?!

You need a manager with a bit of gravitas to run Chelsea. And even then they don’t last long! No one does there.

Tuchel won the Champions League beating Citeh in the final and still got sacked a few months later for telling that prick Todd Boehly to fuck of for suggesting a 12 man formation!

Did similarly with Roberto Di Matteo 6 months after their 2012 CL victory. Not that he was an elite manager, but still…
