For anyone watching the post match interview with Jude - I want.to clarify that Stourbridge is not in Birmingham. “Black Country ay it!” not Brummie.

He’s fantastic, really exciting player to watch. He’s played in pretty much every position, but generally at LB or LM for France. Bizarrely he has yet to score for Real, especially as he usually plays CM. If you have a kid or relative who’s getting into football, It’s interesting to observe how much he scans the pitch as his hair bounces around a lot making it easy to see.

That’s actually bonkers.

Grealish and Maguire cut from the England squad

daaaaaaaaaaaamn that’s wild.

for all the hatred of Maguire you could see why Gareth kept picking him over and over.

Grealish has been fucked by injury and his move to City. wonder if he’ll consider going to a smaller club where he can be a big fish again.

Bit funny how they’re leaking them out like this, why not wait until the last friendly? I wouldn’t necessarily see either as guaranteed starters at the moment but you’d think they’d make the squad. Oh well.

Southgate really doesn’t like Grealish for some reason. I thought his assist in the last friendly the other day was brilliant!

No Maguire yessssss!!! My prayers have been answered.

I will issue a full statement when the official squad has been announced.

Very surprised about Grealish.

Maguire sounds like he’s injured, but who replaces him in the starting line up is a bit of a worry. He and Stones did make a solid partnership.

The thought of Southgate building his midfield around Alexander Arnold is embarrassing. Will be played off the park the minute we come up against anyone vaguely competent.

Official Statement:

I like how attacking Southgate has gone with his squad.

Our Defence is hanging on my a shoe string. Luke Shaw, John Stones, Marc Guehi, Kieran Trippier have all missed large chunks of the season due to injury.

Slightly surprised Grealish was left out, but then again Southgate has a problem with him from the start, so it’s not a total shock and he’s had a shit season for City.

The main one for me, I can’t understand why he left Jarrad Branthwaite out - our only fit left footed Defender, injury free, fantastic season for a struggling Everton, plays week in week out with our first choice GK Jordan Pickford and together they conceded the 4th lowest goals against in the Premier League behind the Top 3.

Really stoked for Konza, has been great for us and a Swiss army knife in his England games. Little bit gutted for Grealish but Gareth has always hated him. Would say it’s a gamble taking Eze instead but frankly he’s been ridiculous for the last six weeks or so

I disagree, to a point. Whilst he’s under experienced in this position you can’t deny his passing range is phenomenal and he’s the closest we have to the classic Italian regista…

Completely get that, but doesn’t suit the style of play and our players, when most teams will be playing a low block against us. He looked completely lost against Bosnia and will leave Rice exposed to fight midfield on his own.

Without being rude, I don’t see what AA adds to our team when you have someone as good as Walker. Better player in every statistic surely. I’d argue that Konza or any of the other options are better right midfielders because they can actually defend
