Some interesting history with the referee.
He was banned for 6 months in 2006 for his role in match fixing in a 2004 game in Germany
He refereed Dortmund vs Bayern (with Bellingham playing) back in 2021, who then made some disparaging remarks to the media afterwards about a penalty decision and was fined.
Forward a few years and Bellingham, already on a yellow, didnā€™t get a second yellow for kicking the ball away after letting it go out of play on the left. Also, somehow, he won a free kick in a Dutch attack, which then led to the winning goal shortly after.

Winning goal was a cracker and England deserved to win that game, but I still canā€™t see them beating Spain going on how both teams have played so far.

I just turned Five Live on and the first two people are moaning about Southgate.

My spleen almost fell out my body with rage.

A lot of England ā€˜fansā€™ just donā€™t have the right to even watch the final.
