The way Utd treated De Gea and booted him out was nothing short of shitty. He was Golden Glove winner in his final season and helped the team overachieve during the last 4 or 5 years.
Seeing what Jim Radcliffe is doing now with cutting all the lowest paid jobs and perks, rather than doing something about the Glazers’ leveraged debt and the woefully overpaid mens’ team is crazy. It will be a long time before Utd is back to something like it was under Ferguson, even if he managed to paper over the cracks.
Without him having to be a prick to the staff I imagine United is a club that haemorrhages thousands a month on needless stuff. That by the end of the year runs into the tens of thousands (maybe hundreds).
What I find worrying is apart from players going, there were no transfers made in the January window, no-one brought in to try and help the team in this terrible season. No urgency at all to get things back on track.
Absolutely bang average today. Cunha showed the best of himself with his goal and the worst of himself getting sent off. Far too emotional and if he wants to do well at a top 6 club he needs to get that out his game.
Newcastle Brighton game hahah . Chaos. Gordon gonna be missing final. Isak and hall potentially injured too for then? Or probably just resting to get fit for it.
ITV commentary is always weirdly biased to the ‘bigger’ team. The whole game was all about Newcastle and their chance for another final etc. Brighton are a really good team and there’s no surprise they went to St James’ and got a result.
Anyway, that was a good watch even if ITV is shite. That’s all.
Yeah I thought the commentary was really odd but it’s like they always pick a team and back them. It was just odd they didn’t give Brighton a chance when they’ve been really good (baring the 7-0 to forest)
